Tough course, but the horseflies are worse! Staff is excellent though.

We had a nice lunch yesterday. The turkey BLT was delicious.

Very well maintained course. Some water on a few holes. Par 4s were reasonable. Couple of challenging par 3s and 5s. Greens were in great shape. Many had slope and tricky undulations. Friendly staff. Definitely hope to go back soon.

Gorgeous course, some greens were renovated and you can still see some of that. Tee boxes are ok, but the course itself is one of the better ones in Middletown.

I have played 30+ public courses up and down the east coast over the last several years. Never have I been compelled to write a review.

Came here with my father at the recommendation of a friend and fellow golfer. Paid $100+ dollars for a mid-morning tee time on a Monday for 18 holes. The course was fine for the most part, but my customer service experience was unsavory to say the least.

It was a 90+ degree day, and by the time we finished up 9 holes, my father was experiencing heat exhaustion. So we decided it would be best to call it a day. I went into the clubhouse to explain the situation to see if we could get a rain check for nine holes another day as many of the public courses I have played previously had no issue with that sort of thing and we had enjoyed our round, for the most part.

As I walked in, I overheard the starter/ranger speaking to the manager about me and my play style. Like many, on hot summer days I enjoy playing shoeless as I get a better feel for the course. I have never had any issues at any other public courses going shoeless. At no point during my run ins with the ranger during the round did he provide any reason for this “footwear policy” and no where on the website or in the clubhouse is there anything stating as such, but I digress.

When I asked the manager about the rain check, he first stated that there was nothing in his system that showed how much I paid for the round initially so he wouldn’t be able to do anything. This made zero sense as I had booked the round through their own website. Nonetheless, I offered to grab my emailed receipt to show him how much I paid. After putting forth the offer to get my receipt two more times, the manager reluctantly obliged and said okay, go get your receipt.

As stated previously, I paid ~$100 for the round. After spewing out some run-around word-vomit of an explanation, the best the manager said he could offer me was a $20 voucher to put towards the next round, a fifth of what I had already paid.
No longer feeling welcomed or valued as a customer, I decided not to press the issue, took the $20 voucher and left. As someone that has worked in customer service for more than a decade, this does not sit well.

I had an awesome day out on the grass here and really enjoyed how well everything was kept up. The layout is fun because it offers a good challenge without being too frustrating, and the greens were rolling really smooth when I visited. Everyone working there was super welcoming and made the whole check-in process easy, so I could just focus on having a good time. It’s a beautiful, quiet spot to spend a few hours outside, and I’ll definitely be coming back for another round soon.

Nice track. Pace of play can be slow on the weekends. Premium pricing on the weekends too.
