The Local Guide
Small local dinner, service was great. We ordered the following, 2 eggs with big link sausage and home fries ( home fries were not as done as we wanted) eggs and sausage were both cooked good and tasty. Sausage Gravy was not bad lacking some flavor but good. Hungry Man was the best value, everything was cooked well and delicious. The 5 Governors omelet was delicious loaded with meat. I would order that again.

The fried flounder is a must - even if you are not a fan of fried fish. It is lightly battered and fresh. The menu has something for everyone- breakfast, luncj, or dinner. The staff and regulars made us feel like family. If you are an omelet fan, these taste like home... as well as the grits. Last, the pancakes were made especially for those of us who like a fluffy middle with a crispy edge.
This is a great stop on your way to the beach. But, be prepared to take a nap or go for a run soon after your meal.

After a week of boardwalk food, I desperately needed some eggs and bacon for a long drive across 3 states. Saw a billboard and gave it a shot. Sign was a little hidden, we almost missed it but glad we came across it. We were seated immediately, ample seating. Hostess was polite. Tina was our server, she was taking our order within 2 minutes of arrival, she was pleasant and prompt. My husband ordered the corned beef hash special and I got my eggs and bacon. Plates came out pretty quickly while we sipped our coffee. Servings were huge, and delicious. Everything was definitely cooked to order, eggs right on point (which is almost never the case for my husband's over medium). Price was very reasonable for generous portions. Building has seen some time but was tidy, menus were clean as were tables and chairs. Servers and staff were all professional and polite. I would definitely visit again when in towm.
