As always, Grotto's is a hit. I spotted a location I hadn't visited before and had to give it a shot. I just grabbed pizza and a drink at the bar, but the bartender was friendly, making sure I knew about their specials. The atmosphere was laid back.

I love Grotto's pizza. Been eating it since the 60's. Now to the problem. Whenever we order a pepperoni pizza I have to explicitly state that I want the pepperoni on the top of the pie. Always get the same response, "Oh you want a reverse pizza.??" What the heck. Pepperoni, peppers, onions and any thing else always goes on top of the pie. I guess I have to start ordering a reverse pizza. LOLStill one of the BEST pizza flavors in town if you like cheddar cheese as I do.Please read the following.What goes on pizza first?In general, the sauce should go on first, then the cheese, then the toppings. This way, the cheese and toppings enjoy the direct heat of the oven, which lets the toppings cook thoroughly while remaining crispy, while the cheese melts, browns, and bubbles.

BE AWARE: This is NOT the "Millsboro" location on the Grotto Pizza website, despite this store being in the town of Millsboro!!! This is the "Long Neck" location.I ordered from the wrong location because I didn't match the exact addresses on the confusing website. This location comped me the replacement order. This 5* review is about the service I received; I haven't eaten yet.It's too bad that the food at the Millsboro location will go to waste. ?Grotto Pizza, please improve your website!

The food was great but the service was not visible alot of the time. And the game room is a big rip off. Kids see the games but the machines just take the tokens you have to buy. They don't work. And the manager was unapologetic about the problem.
