We just found Serendipity on a drive around the neighborhood. We love, love, loved it!!! The decor was fabulous and I could not stop finding new things to look at. We did not eat outside because of the weather, but they have two beautiful patios, both with views of the water. We booth ordered chicken Marsala and it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!! ❤️

The place looked shady on the outside with weird colors and they made us wait 5 minutes to show us to our seats and the ceiling was so low but when we got to the table the silverware was dirty and we ordered a margarita and it was terrible I’m never coming back here do not recommend

If I could give a negative star I would. Cute decor, but that wasn’t enough to keep me there with their bad attitudes. Brought my out of town friend there because we heard good things. When we were instructed to “go sit over there” with a point of her finger, and after waiting 15 mins for menus or our waiter to appear, I noticed the party of 2, 4, 6, and another 2 all had menus. I went to the front desk, tried to get the gentleman’s attention by saying “Excuse me” three times, and finally knocking on the wood and he looked up at me. I asked very nicely if we could get some menus, he barked at another passing man to get menus. No one said anything so I waited, and another woman walked up and after 2 minutes of staring at me, she finally asked if I needed something and the man interjected and said “She needs menus.” This woman was extremely rude and in a very rude tone told me “We don’t have any more menus so you’ll need to wait!” And I said “Well, interesting, because all of the parties that came in after us have menus, so why were we missed?” And she barked at me again, “We do not have any menus, so you all are just going to have to wait.” Well, I didn’t, we left, and I have no intention of revisiting this hellhole with delusional staff and their menu limitations. Get your act together.

Ordered 2 pizza's was told to pick them up in 30 minutes. Got there 30 minutes later was told they both got messed up and would be 15 minutes, 20 minutes later was told they just got put. Waited 15 more minutes and walked out without Pizza. If there was a negative star i would post that

Awesome decor! The server was welcoming, fast and polite.
Clams were hot & steamed well. Fried shrimp, baked potato & Brussel sprouts were all prepared just right. Ice cold beer. My guest enjoyed scallops prepared just right; not over or undercooked. Nice selection of breads. Friendly & responsive server.

They have THE BEST LITTLE NECK CLAMS!!!!! This is the only place I’ll go to get them in Delaware✨ More of an adult experience food wise and esthetic but very nice servers. Great for a date night or just a quick lunch, Serendipity’s will always remain one of my favorite restaurants. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years since I was a kid and it hasn’t changed not one bit.
