Love the location of this restaurant… on the bay and it has a beautiful view. The place is decorated in a fun way, but it might be outdated for some. I really kind of like that about this place. However, the food was nothing special at all. There was a bread bar offered—- bread was cold and a little stale. Salad came next and that was good. My husband ordered lasagna, and though it was a huge serving, it did not look appetizing or taste well. The ground beef was plentiful but not mixed well with cheeses or sauce. I ordered my favorite, chicken parmesan, and it was mediocre at best. Even my iced tea tasted like it had been sitting for days… so I opted for water. This was my second time there, and sadly, I won’t be going back.

Scenery was nice but sadly food was cooked very poorly and service was not good. Felt like a dirty place.

If you haven't tried Serendipity yet, you’re missing out! The atmosphere is truly wonderful—we sat on the deck overlooking the bay, and it was just perfect. The wait staff was equally amazing. Though I didn’t catch our server's name, she worked on Friday night, September 6th, and went above and beyond by helping my husband, who had recently broken his hip, get comfortably seated on the deck and back inside when we were done.

A special shout-out to the kitchen staff for their thoughtful touch—they boxed up our stromboli and even cut a little spot out for the marinara sauce. Speaking of the sauce, it was so thick and delicious that we spooned it onto our stromboli with a fork—without spilling a drop!

And the stromboli? Absolutely incredible. It was so good, I ended up writing a poem about it! It easily serves three people, but trust me, order a whole one for yourself so you can enjoy leftovers. You won’t regret it!

Ode to the Perfect Stromboli

In the oven, warm and bright,
Lies a stromboli, pure delight,
Golden crust with edges curled,
A savory dream, a doughy world.

Inside, cheese melts, gooey bliss,
Pepperoni brings its spicy kiss,
Folded layers, tucked with care,
A feast of flavors, rich and rare.

The steam escapes with a gentle sigh,
As mozzarella strings wave goodbye,
Each bite a burst of dough and spice,
Oh, Stromboli, you're beyond nice.

With every crunch, the soul ignites,
Tomato sauce in perfect bites,
No sandwich, pizza, roll can be
As perfect as this Stromboli.

So raise a slice, and take a cheer,
For this creation, oh so dear,
A meal, a joy, a masterpiece,
This stromboli brings pure peace!

Just came upon this restaurant so stopped in for a try. The decor is so fun and eclectic! My Stromboli fed 2 and was delicious and the chocolate peanut butter brownie dessert outstanding. My waitress was very attentive. The menu has great Italian offerings. We will be back for breakfast outside on the deck. Good find!!!

Extremely disappointed. We’ve talked for years about going to this restaurant. Inside the environment was very claustrophobic, ceilings were barely 6 foot and too many cluttered decorations. The decor was overwhelming, almost an eyesore. Didn’t feel like an “Italian” restaurant. The evening could have been salvaged if our service had been adequate (it was not). Our waitress was cold and aloof, she did not seem to have wanted to be there. It took 20 minutes to get drinks, and another 10 just to order. No apologies about wait times. It took another 45 to get our food, which was hit and miss. The steak Stromboli was passable, but not worth the wait. However, the buffalo chicken Stromboli was yet another disappointment added to our evening. The chicken was dry, and the sauce was weak rather than spicy. Even with ranch the Stromboli was not enjoyable. Extremely disappointing experience. Would not come back nor recommend!!!!

Party of 15, drink order wrong, for starters. Waitress forgot to put our food order in our wait was nearly an hour. Some appetizers came out others didn't. Two entrees came out severely undercooked (polish platter x2) 1 meal never showed up. When talking about situation with owner you could tell he wasn't engaged, not willing to step up and accept that his staff failed miserably. Some of our party literally walked out in amazement. Ventalation system was dripping onto our table, I watched a waitress stuff napkins in vent in her attempt to stop the condensation from falling onto the table. Lastly, not once did the waitress come back to the table to check on her largest table, some of these issues may have been addressed in a timely manner(as if).
Great location and beautiful scenery unfortunately that comes at a cost of piss poor service. HIGHLY NOT WORTH IT.

Serendipity is a great little hidden gem! Second time I have been here in two months while in Rehobeth. Very pretty and extremely colorful inside. Lots to see inside the restaurant- lovely parasols cover the ceiling of the restaurant, pretty glasware decorates the entire place. The owner Matt is very nice and came and checked in with us to ensure that all was ok.
Beautiful outside seating ( or indoor) overlooking the water and lots of beautiful flowers outside.
Now lets get to the food!!! The lasagna is delicious and the portion is MASSIVE. ITS ENOUGH FOR 3-4 people. Also included in your entree is a nice fresh bread bar with an assortment of different breads.
But what really made it a special dinner is the fresh amazing , phenomenal desserts the owner Matt himself painstakingly prepares DAILY! The upside pineaplpe cake is a must. The pnia olcada caje is divine. The peanut butter pie is deliciuos.

If you are in this area and want . tasy dinner and dessert witj a pretyt view-- try this place and even if you dont finsih dinner-- get you some DESSERT! You will be glad you did!

We had a wonderful lunch at Serendipity. Food was excellent. My grandson got an Italian Stromboli with added sausage, and with every bite I could hear him say hmmmm. That says it all!!

We arrived at the restaurant for an early lunch, anticipating a pleasant dining experience. Given the time, the restaurant was not busy, which initially seemed promising for prompt service. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met.

Upon being seated, our waiter did not introduce herself, and we were not asked if we wanted any drinks before we placed our order. This lack of basic courtesy was the first indication of the subpar service we were about to receive.

The menu was another point of disappointment. With an overwhelming range of food options spanning American, Italian, and Polish cuisines, it felt chaotic and unfocused. The sheer variety made it difficult to make a choice, and it gave the impression that the restaurant was trying to do too much at once, potentially compromising the quality of each dish.

Overall, the poor customer service and the overwhelming menu left us feeling displeased with our experience. We had hoped for a relaxing and enjoyable lunch, but instead, we left the restaurant . We hope the restaurant takes these points into consideration to improve their service and streamline their menu offerings.

I had the Polish platter and it was wonderful. I haven't had that selection of Polish foods since before my grandmother passed away. The sauerkraut was a little strange. But the rest of it was fantastic. The restaurant has a great view of the river and the atmosphere is a little hodgepodge but very pleasant and welcoming.

If you like sitting on the water this is the place. The interior is wild ,so the name suits it well. We didn't have the Lasagna but it looked awesome on someone else's plate

Parking: Lot also across the street. If I had to guess 20 spots

Got our menu, order kids food and appetizers got fairly fast. Crab dip sucked, tasted like horseradish, caramel sweet potato fries had zero caramel, no kids pizza so had to order whole pizza , it was horrible . Asked 25 mins later about out food order, told they are backed up. Another 30 mins and we told waitress to just make it to go. 15 mins later she says here’s the ticket but kitchen did not make it. Owner took our payment and rudely told us it was the waitress fault she didn’t put it in, although she had the ticket she showed us. Left 16$ tip with owner as you pay at register and rethought it at car that she might not get it. Went back in to be sure the waitress got it and the owner said we only left 8$. Owner was so rude and didn’t take responsibility for his staff. Never ever back again.
