Alex's Seafood Restaurant & Retail Located in The New Castle Farmers Market

Food was really good, the prices are reasonable and the server was great. Our server was Donna, she was really nice, she didn't come to the table every 10 minutes, which was really good. She made sure we were taken care of with hovering. The oysters on the half shell were tender and fresh with a great taste.

I had a flounder platter and the broccoli was delicious, the flounder was good(no bread) and the salad was ok until I’m eating and see a piece of paper in the lettuce 🥬. You have to remove the stickers before cutting up and serving to anyone.

Carried out cooked crabs, med female, they were heavy and solid, worth the price, I ordered ahead, a little confused with their next in line procedure for take out, everyone was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the short wait!!!

I had high hopes thinking this food would be good but I am severely disappointed in this meal. I spent $25 for the so called Belly Buster meal and this is what I got. The scallops weren’t done, the crab cake tasted weird, my side of broccoli was wrapped in foil and not done either. I couldn’t even eat it because that’s how horrible the food was. I can’t believe that they’re charging these prices and or even making food like this. I would NEVER patronize this place again and if it wasn’t a short distance of a drive, I would’ve returned to the store to complain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE going here

The turkey drumstick was good but I was annoyed that the oxtail were 23$ a pound and it was mostly fat on it.... please do better

Made our first visit to Alex’s tonight. My husband ordered a beer and the waitress forgot. It took 15 minutes to get it after reminding her. We ordered the crab ball appetizer ( horrible with not taste). Crab fries were ok. Three people in our party got soup. The clam chowder takes watery and not creamy at all. Maryland crab was ok but no real flavor. My husband’s combination platter came out after everyone else was done eating. I will NEVER go back. They charge 18 percent for parties of 4 or more and service was horrible!!!!

The food is pretty lackluster. It takes a while even when they’re not busy and the food is not seasoned. I mean, how do you mess up fries? I’ve noticed a decline in the quality over the past year but this will be my last time.

My first time eating at Alex’s. Based on my experience I would not recommend. The soup was the best part of my meal. Ordered Steamed shrimp and steamed clams. The shrimp had little to no seasoning. They were overcooked making them very hard to peel. I had to ask for a side of old bay to put on them and use a lot of cocktail sauce. The clams were full of sand. Personally I don’t like chewing on sand. I also had the Seafood soup that was very good. Based on my visit I would give them 2 stars out of 5.

I ordered crabs from here for a veterans' event, but unfortunately, more than half of them were bad. My family and I eat blue crabs from Chesapeake City several times monthly. We decided to order from Alex's Seafood since they were having a sale over the weekend. However, the meat in most of the crabs was mushy or pasty. I was not the only person who had this problem this weekend. A woman with her family was on her way out and tried to warn us, but we had already ordered.
