Always a great experience. The fried wings are the biggest and best! The catfish is delicious! Best of all is the cornbread! The staff is warm and friendly. I make it a point to get food when I’m in the area.

Parking: The location is good, however the fish was bland, rubbery, and distasteful. Chicken was a 4 outta 10 and the shrimp were 6 outta 10. I got better taste from a car tire. They could get better

I just so happen to be getting my hair done and a friend of mines son was eating greens, I asked where he got them from and he said L&G. I never heard of this place and never been. Weeks later to today I went. I must say the dude taking my order was very polite, patient and chill. Cutie too, lol. But I got the number three. Whiting, shrimp and two sides. Greens of course and yams. My daughter got 8 wings and Mac and cheese and 6 shrimp. I also got a slice of pineapple upside cake. A total of $48.50. So be prepared to spend some coins. The fish was ok, to me it could have used a little more season and cooked a little longer. The shrimp was ok. The Mac was not a favorite at all. But the yams were certainly on point and so was the greens. I haven’t tried the cake. I couldn’t finish my fish. But truthfully nothing was so to say nasty. Just didn’t hit the mark for a soul food place. I doubt I’ll return but if I did it would be to get those yams and greens. But this is my opinion I would suggest at least going once to try them out. My only suggestion would be season and cook the whiting a bit longer.

My go-to restaurant for good soul food! I’ve been coming here for years, but today was the day! I noticed a new menu item: STICKY WINGS! The wet sweet sauce is not too sweet and the wings kept their crunch! These are my favorite sides pictured and I also ❤️ their potato salad.
