First let me say the food was good, not great. My low score relates to the rest of our experience. I am not sure what our waitress was doing but it was not taking care of our table. Had to ask for 2 non alcoholic drinks at the minimum of 5 times and another waitress overheard us talking about it and ended up bringing one of them to us. Apps came out ok, did not get the soup we ordered until after our dinner came out and we asked about them. After dinner we asked for our check once she made her way back to our table, she asked if we wanted any dessert, we said no so she left to get our check??? Nope, she comes back 5 min later and again asks if we wanted to see the dessert menu, we said no just the check please. Literally cant make this up.

The food was over sauced. Too much rice served with dishes. Crab cakes close to inedible, alligator should have been hot and crispy, was luke warm and soggy. One dinner was served without 2 main ingredients. Instead of taking it back, the server came out 5 minutes later and dumped them on top. Bar service was sub par. Not sure if it was an off night but won't be going back.

Great Cajun food in…New Castle, Delaware? Loved it, though. I had the alligator sausage jambalaya. Not JUST spicy (but it was that) but extremely flavorful. My wife got the milder blackened salmon, but very tasty as well.

My wife and I stumbled upon Nora Lee’s one evening, and it turned out to be one of the best dining surprises we’ve had in a long time. After two visits, it’s safe to say this spot has officially become our go-to for a casual yet flavorful night out.
The menu is packed with authentic Cajun/Creole options, and every dish we’ve tried so far has been spot on – bold flavors, rich spices, and perfectly cooked. Pair that with their solid drink menu and you’ve got a recipe for a great night.
Beyond the food, the vibe is fantastic. It’s got that unmistakable New Orleans charm that sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
If you’re a fan of the NOLA atmosphere and cuisine, Nora Lee’s is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back soon – and often!

We try to find reasons to come here a few times a year. The interior is moody/so fun. The people are always kind! They have the best New Orleans-style food! It’s heavy, but it’s comforting & packed with flavor. Their captain crunch-crusted chicken tenders (as an app) is our favorite. If you haven’t visited this gem yet, take this as your sign to! It’s a family staple for us!
We enjoyed a happy hour dinner in the bar area on a Friday afternoon. The menu was extensive for happy hour, and the servers were kind. Our bill for 3 drinks and 3 entrees was only $36…the portions were very large! We ordered the chicken nachos, a burger and the voodoo chicken which was spicy.
