Everyone raved about this restaurant so I had to try, but unfortunately my first visit fell flat. I would maybe rate it a 3.5/5? For someone who has been to New Orleans multiple times and has religiously eaten the staples, I was surprised that typical food items weren’t on the menu (or I didn’t notice them) like etoufee, gumbo, red beans and rice, muffulettas, or even beignets. The jambalaya and Alligator were okay, but not what I thought it would be. Maybe I would need to...
Great atmosphere, service and food. I had the crawfish bisque to start, perfect flavor and taste. My wife had a baked brie from their daily lunch menu and it was honestly they most delicious thing we both have ever tasted. I had the vegetarian cheesesteak and it was also fantastic. Will be coming back to try more from the menu the next time I am near New Castle.
Food and atmosphere is fantastic. Portions are more than ample. Presentation is excellent. I'm from South Louisiana and the creole/cajun vibe is spot on. That's very rare...If I could give another star I would. The chef came out and visited each table and made time for a conversation.
