My (non vegan) friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here. It’s a charming restaurant with a great menu. Lots of options for vegans. I highly recommend it!! Updated from previous review on 2025-08-22
Newtown is a historic, colonial town, and is very quaint and charming. Within, the Mercury Cafe is a gym with delicious comfort food and great coffee. While it’s vegetarian, many of the dishes can be prepared vegan. The BBQ pulled oats sandwich, pastrami panini, grilled cheese and tomato soup were all so good and comforting. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

All vegetarian, lots of vegan options. Lots of tea, coffee (Local beans from Little Goat), cocktails, wine and beer. Staff is super friendly and it’s a cute place. Patio is nice in warmer months. Probably my favorite place for vegan food in DE.

The cutest little hidden gem. Food was delicious, drinks too. Owner, Dwayne was so nice and shared how their restaurant came to be. We will definitely be back when we are back in town.

Best espresso martini! Drinks are on point and their selection of food is great. Tomato soup and their burger is so tasty and just enough to curb that craving. Amazing spot that I keep going back to again and again!

Always a great experience at Mercury! The friendly staff are eager to please, and the atmosphere is quaint and eclectic. As a Vegan I appreciate the totally vegetarian menu, with vegan offerings.

Quant restaurant in Historic New Castle De. Food is great. I’m not a vegetarian and loved the gyro! But my favorite are there Bavarian pretzels. Yum! You can order from the table using the app or at the bar. Staff are friendly and helpful.
