*** Updated review- The food when we first patronized this establishment was great. However, in the recent months the customer service and quality of the food has gone way down. The quantity of the food has decreased and the greed to scam customers is evident. The older lady is condescending and very argumentative when she clearly does not know how to add correctly. A side of Egusi without meat is $14.99, & fufu is $4.99 how does that equal $23.99 the same cost of egusi and fufu with meat? Instead of correcting her mistake she becomes defensive for over charging me $4.01 to say “My price is my price”. Well lady you can keep your over priced underwhelming food. Newark has way better food and great customer service.

First review - My nephew loves to try new foods and we came across this restaurant last night. It was a 25 minute drive but was worth it, for the amazing food. The customer service was fantastic we were greeted upon arrival by a young lady, and our food was ready and hot. We ordered the red snapper with Jolof rice, and two egusi with chicken and fufu. The cost was a little pricey.

I never really leave reviews but this time I’m actually really disappointed. I have eaten at this place plenty of times and have brought people to place and got the exact same order every time. The flavor is good but the portion size is disappointing because I know how it usually looks. As you see in the picture that’s from one scoop showing you how little this is. I feel like for more than $20 the bowl should be filled up to the fill line at least. The beef chunks are extremely small. My order has never looked like this. The price and product size is completely off. The price for this used to be $14 and now it’s more than $20 and the position is horrible. I am not getting what a payed for. Disappointing because I feel played and I’ve always been a supporter!

Not enough oxtail for 28.99 two pieces more ric than anything cabbage no favor taste like water..I'll maybe try another dish unsatisfied

I order from here every month or so. My normal is the okra stew with fufu. I would say that portion is great for that specific platter. I have tried two another things and I didn’t like the smaller portions they gave me with those other platters so I will just stick with the amazing okra stew with fufu. It is good every time I order It.

Bad is a understatement food was horrible and taste worse . I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs hope the owner enjoyed that dollar cause it will be the last she ever get from me or anyone I know . Food was trash

Food tastes ok but portion size doesn’t equate to the price! I was disappointed and had mostly bones with no meat. The menu describes what ingredients would be in certain entrees or stews but half are missing!? Take note of these type of restaurants refund policy! You pay cash! No refund! You pay by debit or credit! Of course a refund because you can dispute the transaction! Always check before walking out!
