The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. I had a lunch meeting scheduled for 12:00 p.m. for 15 people, but due to an internet issue at my location, I was unable to place my order online. “I discovered this hidden gem a few years ago and have been in love with their lamb gyro since. I recently needed food catered for my graduation party and immediately knew it has to be from here.

The food was amazing. We had chicken and lamb gyros for my party. Everyone loved it.

“We stop in once a week. Sometimes we eat there and sometimes we call and pick up. The atmosphere is fabulous. If we ever do have to wait for our food, it’s totally worth it. If my husband and I are together we sit and have wine while we wait. They are all very friendly! If we get take out, we always get extra so we can have leftovers, which are always delicious. We reheat the pizza in the toaster oven, it’s amazing. We also love the desserts there! It’s just a great spot and we love it! I’ve never once been disappointed with any of their service or food.”

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.”

I’ve now tried several different items and different pizzas and all of them have been delicious. You gotta try the BBQ beef cheesesteak (add extra meat and extra cheese) and BBQ chicken pizza. Wow 👍👍. I can tell they get slammed with takeout and delivery orders. Great staff. They’re my new go to.”

So I needed somewhere to camp out afterwards since I wouldn’t make it back home to wilmington in time. I stumbled upon this place in my “coffee shops” map search. Everyone working was very kind, and the drink + bagel i had were both so good that I felt compelled to actually write this FB review. I have been mourning the loss of my favorite wilmington boba spot (it sounds dramatic but I am serious, the others just aren’t the same) so am so glad to have found a good one, even if it’s a little bit of a hike.”

We ordered three sandwiches to share and each bite was more delicious than the last. the Greek coffee was phenomenal and their iced chai latte is one of the best I've had. “When I first came in I was warmly greeted by two great staff members. One or both may have been the owner. I was given the rundown of a pretty great menu with two really great sounding avenues: breakfast meat options with home fries and eggs, or something like a double sausage on a roll for lunch. Boom. That's what I got. Really nice diced onions and green peppers which were sauteed then placed on the bottom of the bun first, then I had them add spicy mustard and the sausage links went on top of it all. I loved this technical approach because it makes the eating experience not-messy and very nice. We've all had hot dogs where the toppings are stacked on top and fall off with every bite. That's not how this was. Well considered! The sausage was really flavorful and wasn't dry or too salty. there was a great snap to the casing of the sausage and the ends/tips of the sausage were satisfyingly crunchy from a great cook. The whole experience was a good one and I absolutely will be going back. I think the price, portion, and quality was excellent, too, for less than $10 -- you can't find that these days. The only improvment: might be to grill/toast the inside of the bun a little more, but that's extremely nitpicky and not required. I can't wait to do their breakfast-y platters next. If they're scrapple and bacon is the same quality as the sausage, this place is going to be a no-brainer when I come to Newark, Delaware once or twice a month to go to Days of Knights Games or Captain Blue Hen Comics. I actually live in Maryland and the drive is about 25 or 30 minutes, but I'm telling you, it's worth it! Main Street, and Helen's, rules. 5/5”

“Hot, Fresh, Quality Ingredients, Excellent Spice Blends I don't like winter (okay, where's he going with this?), so I need to light a fire in the fireplace as well as inside myself. Solution? Tikka Masala delivered via Doordash brings us delicious flavourful Indian food that I enjoy medium or spicy (there's that fire!). Both the Chicken Chettinadu and Tikka both are whole meat chunks of chicken, amen, with comforting seasoning to boot. A little of each as pictured and I have plenty for a second meal. Basmati rice, naan and the circle on the plate is complete. Update: Masala Dosa is heavenly! Perfect dish. A blessing to have fantastic Indian food at our beckoning call. Nicely done & thank you!”

Can't review alcoholic drinks because I don't drink.Recently I ordered pick up. Upon the return time they gave me... It took about a 20 minute wait for someone to come to the front to assist me with my pick up . They gave me a receipt but not my debit card back. Partly my fault to realize this.....but their fault too...this is the 2nd time that happened to me at pick up.. I think maybe a bell would work at the front desk to get someone's attention.i even stood at the bar for 5 minutes but no one came out.for awhile.. all in all I will probably return here be a use thw food I've had has been delicious each time....I recommend the shrimp quesidilas and I love their rice. However I think that their customer service really needs attention. They gave me a menu. “Had a great meal at ugly dumpling, greeted with great service right away! Service was personable and accommodating to my stroller and a high chair for toddler. The establishment is extremely clean and beautifully designed. Waitress was helpful in assisting with menu, family style small plates, 3-4 plates for a couple suggested. We loved the dumplings with spicy sauce on side and sesame noodles. So fun to see everyone working on hundreds of beautiful, delicate, and delicious dumplings! 🥟 thank you ugly dumpling team!”

I’ve also had their chicken shish which was also good but my favorite so far is the chicken doner, they make it really well, juicy, and flavorful. Everything was balanced in the doner. I also like their purple cabbage salad! I’ll defiantly be back for more chicken doner!”

He is definitely a fan of this place now. I have had a bunch of the various baklava and haven't gotten any that I didn't like. “Went to The Green House Gastropub on Friday 2/6/26 for lunch and had the Casa Verde Nachos (we added crab!), the French Dip Sammy and the Tony Fontina Burger along with a finely crafted Bloody Mary & Maple and Brown Sugar Old Fashion. The food was delicious, the drinks wonderful, and the waitstaff perfectly attentive. Our Bartender, Fa was a delight. 10 out of 10. Everyone should stop by!”
