Caffe Gelato never disappoints! This time, I had the mussels with chorizo appetizer, which had a delicious cream sauce. One of the best mussels dishes I've ever had! For dinner, my wife had the pasta with lobster and scallops, which she thoroughly enjoyed, and I had the Costoletta alla Milanese, a breaded and pounded veal chop not unlike a schnitzel. Our group had a lovely time at the restaurant. Food for the most part was delicious, but my salmon was dry and overdone. Friend's pasta dinners were very tasty. Service was great!
We love Cafe Gelato, but the recent shrimp scampi "special entre" was a disappointment. Unfortunately, the amount of red pepper in the dish was overwhelming. We brought most of it home, washed it out in a collander and enjoyed it the next night. It was just an off night in the kitchen. We'll be back.
