“This was our second visit to Snuff Mill and the food and service is consistently top notch. Shannon provided excellent attentive service and the burrata, Nashville chicken sandwich and Mill salad were delicious and well plated. The manager Kaylee stopped by and we spoke with her for about 10 minutes. She shared upcoming events like the wine pairing dinner and opera dinner. We loved that she was an “active” manager who engages with the patrons and talks with pride about the staff and how they strive for an exceptional experience. Keep up the good work Snuff Mill!!”

“Administrative details - While you usually must make a reservation a year in advance (which I did), there are a very few earlier spots available on their website. In addition, if you are on the email list, they send the occasional last-minute availability. Talula’s is BYOB. The price was $125 and with all the other things, taxes, gratuities, it came to $160. The Nook Table is available for 6-8 diners and the Farm Table is for larger parties. Website link is below. Everything is presented in “tasting” small portions. In addition to the menu, they provided a couple of additional offerings. I did not do a good job of capturing the delightful descriptions of the food provided by our server. (The next time I go, I will video the descriptions if they allow.) The group did a great job of bringing wine which was beautifully poured in appropriate glassware by our server. The server also paired the wine with the offerings for us! The service was exceptional without being pretentious. After each tasting, plates, utensils and glasses were cleared and refurbished so discreetly that you hardly noticed. The menu changes with the “farm to table” availability. My favorite was a squash tarte. [I was delighted to find that I did not like the foie gras. It is “made” in a most inhumane and horrible way. This is the only time I have eaten it and I will never eat it again.] I was sorry to find that by the Black Garlic Beef Ribeye (#6 on the list), I was getting to the point of “too much food.” The only downsides were “too much food” for most of us and the wines they suggested for the pairings were hard/impossible to find. I personally did not like the varieties of wines they suggested for pairings. The rest of the party enjoyed the comparable wines they were able to find and allowed the server to pair with the tastings. I will be making a reservation for next year very soon. I have already made a reservation for the “sister” Talula’s Garden in Philly for September.”

“TY for accommodating our party of 18 on a Saturday… Your fried calamari was so yummy, the flight of soup was a brilliant idea for someone who’s undecisive to be able to sample 3 different cups, my crab cake was so amazing - I’m drooling just thinking about the jumbo lumps of crab chunks!!! By the way hubby & I noticed the American Psycho decors right away as we’re huge fans of the book & movie. Last but def not least, the service was great even though there were 18 of us with some loud kiddos.”

“I recently tried Rooted AF. for the first time and have been craving their empanadas every day since.
Seriously, they’re amazing. I had two beef and cheese empanadas with some fries. As someone who doesn’t even like regular fries, I hesitated to get them but the other sides didn’t sound appealing to me.
The fries were great! So well seasoned I didn’t even care that they didn’t come with a sauce.
We’ll definitely be back!”

“Been going here for years to eat in or get take out. I love that it’s walking distance from my house. You can tell everything is fresh and homemade. Must haves: gnocchi, meatballs w/ whipped ricotta, meatball salad, wedding soup…and so many more. Atmosphere is great…always a good crowd, greeted by Donnie the owner every time and the staff provides excellent hospitality. Zero complaints.”

“Great ice cream, fun atmosphere, even has live music on occasion. It’s pet friendly and our dog loves visiting and being able to go check out the cows when they are out.

Parking: Parking is on gravel and lawn areas. It does get busy especially in the summer.

Kid-friendliness: Kids love ice cream. There’s a large lawn that the kids can run around in while you spend time here.”

Their brisket cheese fries were out of this world, the cheese sauce was so flavorful! & their collard greens are perfectly made! The cornbread is sweet and moist! “The food was prepared well the duck was delicious and juicy, the little gem salad was good yet not as spicy as I anticipated from the description. The braised short ribs were very flavorful and melted in your mouth. The potatoes were crispy with a nice salty coating. The halibut was tasty yet uninspired. The grilled mushrooms were very well prepared but the rest of the dish was lacking a place of it's own; just kind of bland fish dish on puréed potatoes which let's face it is the least creative side. Dessert was well thought out and prepared. I had the pistachio torte which was excellent and my gorgeous date had the chocolate cake which was similarly excellent. For cocktails the Amalfi spritz was refreshing with a hint of hibiscus and not bitter like an Aperol spritz and the bone dry dirty martini met the mark.”

“Excellent pizza! Didn't want to judge too quickly so decided to wait until we ordered again. This time, it was just as good and the service was just as helpful and friendly. I am gluten free, (not celiac) so we gave theirs a shot along with the regular ones we ordered. All I can say is WOW! I have tried so many places in the area hoping to find a GF crust that resembles 'real' pizza, and Stone Mill has figured it out! I asked if it was cauliflower crust or a blend, and the person answering the phone happily gave us the ingredients of what it is made from, without sounding annoyed at the time it took to explain. The crust is great, not pre-made and thankfully not cauliflower. It's not paper thin and came out well done with that charred look and wood fire taste like original crust has. But most importantly, it was delicious. It's not a tiny little 10" crust, or a personal size - it's the same size as all the others. (I was so excited when I saw it I dove right in without taking a picture!) The whole experience, from the politeness when ordering on the phone, to the finished products were great. It's amazing how many places make it sound like they are doing you the favor when they take an order. Great pizza and great service. This is the only place we will order from going forward.”

“My son took me to this spot yesterday and I was so impressed. I’m not a big coffee drinker but the ice coffee my son recommended was nice. I am a big sweet eater and the apple muffin was very good not too sweet like my usual but still very good and crunchy. The Mercury is Small but clean and airy. Service on point and the atmosphere delightful. Had to share with my manager who lives in the neighborhood she must check it out. Very nice place. Love the entrance and the out area so surprised of the size and set up excellent…
I will be taking my wife here for a lunch and coffee date. Doing so will indeed get me some honey you care points lol..
