We had a fantastic Valentine’s dinner at Cafe Scalessa. The atmosphere was warm, the service was attentive and welcoming, and every dish was absolutely delicious. From start to finish, it was a perfect, memorable evening. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband had surgery yesterday and on the way home from the hospital he said he wanted chicken piccata. We ordered chicken piccata and chicken Marsala for takeout. Both were served over gnocchi. NEVER had such amazing gnocchi! Flavor of the piccata and Marsala—OUTSTANDING!!!!

Cafe Scalessa provides a warm, family-like atmosphere that is often bustling and packed with a lively energy. The decor is loved, and the service is consistently described as wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable. The portions are famously large, often providing leftovers for days.
The menu receives high praise across many dishes. Appetizers like the fantastic meatballs, fried mozzarella with anchovy sauce, and pepperoni garlic bread are standouts. For main courses, the Chicken Parmigiana, Veal Parm, spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parm, shrimp n pasta, and Chilean Sea Bass are all highlighted as amazing and perfectly cooked. The cheesesteak is noted as being better than those found in Philadelphia, and the porkette sandwich is called the best ever. The restaurant is apparently known for its gnocchi, including a creamy 4 Cheese Gnocchi, described as tiny pillows of fluffy potato heaven. The wedding soup is also excellent.
Desserts are a must-try, with the rich Coconut Buttercake and really good cannoli providing the perfect ending to a meal. The experience is rounded out by fun entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights, making it a true pleasure for dining with family and friends.
