The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere pleasant. We think it is important to support the local economy and Toscana's has served the local community successfully for many years.There is one point of constructive feedback that we would like to offer. As a take-out item, the gelato I believe is not served authentically. Toscana's appears to be serving gelato as if it is the same as ice cream. An ice cream scooper is being used instead of a specific gelato utensil. This impacts the serving amount and the way it is presented.“

“Stopped in after a lot of people recommended it. Very friendly staff at the bar and the food came out fast. Was a pretty busy place for 4p on a Sunday. Hardly a seat left in the place. Onion rings were delicious and pizza was just ok. Cool spot to grab a slice or order off the menu. I honestly thought the slice pies looked better, and thinner. Not sure why that would be.“
“The rigatoni and sausage is great, as is the salmon. Both locations are very dog friendly, unlike Capers and Lemons (owned by the same folks. I make it a point to visit both Taverna locations, but will avoid Capers and Lemons, even though it is closer to my home. Highly recommend Taverna. Dog lovers? Stay away from Capers and Lemons.“
“We did not make a reservation as it was a last minute decision. It was a Saturday nite so that was our fault. We had a half hour wait. There is a small bar when you walk in and the bartender welcomes you to sit down. I only had a diet Coke and he did not charge for that in a plastic cup. Our waitress was great! Very personable. I ordered the Italian wedding soup. I have never had one with so many little meatballs! It was filling. I ordered cheese raviolis with a garlic and olive oil sauce and she asked if I wanted 6 or 8. I went for the 6 and after the soup, I saved the rest and had for lunch the next day. They are big and very good. The only issue was the time between our soup and entree was a little long. It appears to be a very popular place. Many people were celebrating birthdays etc while we were there. Most people had reservations and the longest I think I saw a party wait with reservations was maybe 10 mins. My son said it's his favorite Italian restaurant in the Wilmington area. I would definitely go again and make reservations!“
“First time going there tonight. Food was amazing. I had the chicken parm and my wife had shrimp linguini. Both meals were very good. Chicken parm was recommended by the waitress and did not disappoint. Huge portion and great taste. Shrimp linguini was great also. Their Limoncello Martini is my new favorite drink. Everything is made from scratch. Service was also great. Recommended meals based on taste and not price which was appreciated. Waitress was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. we will definitely be going back we are already planning our next visit. “I ordered a buffalo chicken cheese steak they used regular hot sauce in which I didn't care for but it was still decent and ordered a ham and cheese in which it was nasty. I was a little upset because I'm pregnant and they refused for me to use the bathroom. I guess I can't complain too much about it I guess. I will definitely try other types of cheese steaks“

Only issue was that I ordered a plain chicken steak (no cheese) the person taking the order typed it in correctly however the kitchen staff decided to add cheese anyway. I didn't know this until after getting home so we had to make a trip back for the corrected sandwich because they said delivery would take over an hour. The corrected chicken steak was very good. We also ordered fries, a pizza steak, garlic knots, a hamburger, onion rings and meatballs. Everything was a 8/10 and we'll definitely return. I'll just check the food before leaving the restaurant.“
“We go to Gallucios for take out, mainly pizza. I feel over the years the quality has changed some, or maybe they are just easier on the cheese. We have asked for well done crusts and often the crust comes out flimsy or doughy still, so in the future I'll ask for extra well done. “Been going to Valle's since 1983, when Frank Sr. was always in house and just take out. The food has always been some of the best Italian around; subs, steaks and meatball sandwiches just great. Pizza was equally high quality. Now a full blown restaurant, bordering fine dining, but the food is just that, Fine Dining Italian style. Pasta dishes never disappoint, and the crab cakes are nothing but delicious backfin! With these kinds of pizza places it’s always about the calories per dollar. The staff here is fun and is down to chat when they have time. Kevin, Paul, Rob, and Mickey are all really cool staff and are when they have down-time they love to crack jokes to make your day. This place is split into a takeout spot and a dine-in spot. “It was fine…nothing really special. Our server was very nice. Veal was good but sauce was kind of watery. Odd atmosphere is the best way to describe it. Fair prices and great garlic rolls (looks like the garlic rolls are everyone’s favorite). Salad had shredded romaine which was kind of weird/hard to eat. Soup was decent. Nothing really setting them apart from any other little Italian restaurant. Probably won’t go back but only because I’d rather try some other places. Get any of their pasta dishes, for years they are packed with such inventive flavors and the pasta is expertly cooked al dente. The duck confit has been on the menu for years and we never tire of it. Same for the octopus. La Fia has been our favorite restaurant for years.“
