Great food and portions! Slow cooked meat, not over seasoned (rubbed). The owners and family were friendly and helpful. They have made the absolute best out of the location. I definitely recommend Vonda's Kitchen.
Lets start with the Lamb Cheese steak It taste amazing so flavorful juicy will always be a go to pick for me the fries are just fries nothing special the fish was fried to perfection excellent amount of season the rice was a no for me the mac and cheese had no flavor no season and not enough cheese or just couldn't taste it the wings were fried in dirty grease I guess they tasted burnt and overcooked or refried im not sure the thai wings were a hit sauce tasted amazing wings were cooked perfectly nice juicy The loaded shrimp fries needed a lot of help ot was dry and no flavor it was definitely missing something the cornbread was beyond gritty and grainy the banana pudding was just pudding and two cookies nothing else really basic for the price the cakes were ok very moist I would definitely recommend this place wonderful customer service its always busy nice vibes and atmosphere

The swai was fried perfectly, but if everything is made to order and we ate there, why was my food room temperature?My grits were straight cold. My friend had turkey wings, his mac and cheese was hot but the gravy on the side wasn't. I try to patronize my people, and I will return I may try a sandwich next time.
The food was horrible. The Mac and cheese was absolutely awful. And the sweet potatoes weren’t really sweet and tasted like canned yams without sugar. The cake was bland or missing something. I won’t be returning and do not recommend.

First, I want to salute Tukum and Kyaire for being courtesy and professional. Two young hard gentlemen taking orders and doing a great job managing the customers. They also had throw back R&B playing, which was a nice touch.Next, the food was exceptional. I read the reviews, and it's hard to believe anyone could say anything bad about the food. I had Fried Catfish w/garlic mashed potatoes and fried cabbage, and my wife had Roasted Turkey Wings w/5 cheese Mac and sweet potatoes. Both were served hot, ample portioned, and perfectly seasoned. We both took home an order of Fried Catfish w/garlic mashed potatoes and fried cabbage ?.Finally, there is a little sticker shock, but we spend as much (if not more) money for less food at non-ethnic establishments. This was our first experience, and we will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Although there were no vegetarian entrees, there are enough sides to create one. Unfortunately, the veggies were all cooked in/with meat.Dietary restrictions: They had a sign posted asking patrons to inform them of dietary restrictions and food allergies.Parking: The restaurant is in a shopping plaza with sufficient parking.
This is a positive review. (I did post pics because there are plenty here already). I ordered online, on Saturday. My meal was fried whiting, collards, and Mac & cheese. The portions, prices and options were all reasonable. The atmosphere was very clean, neat, and welcoming. The fish, collards, Mac & cheese did not disappoint, I was pleased. This place is the REAL deal for soul food. They got it right-congrats. I will be back, and share my pleasant experience with friends and family.Parking: Plenty of parking options.
