This is my family's favorite restaurant in Newark, De. We used to eat here regularly (like once a week!). Food is always fresh, their soups are delicious. We all just wish they'd bring back the lobster roll. It was hands down the BEST thing on their menu. To the point we were so disappointed they removed it that we haven't wanted to go back. I'm not sure why they took it off the menu, but hopefully they'll find a way to bring it back.

Outstanding hospitality and seamless accommodations from start to finish of our engagement event. The staff was attentive, thoughtful, and made the night feel incredibly special. Their attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference. It was the perfect ambiance and food was great! We thank you so much!

Stopped by BCG solo to kill time until my facial around the corner… requested to sit in a quiet place and was sat at the bar (end, per my request). Had the pleasure of meeting employees Anna & Sam - they hung out with me and we shared fantastic convo during my wait. Had two (2) well made Bloody Mary’s with pickles and pickled green beans (sooo good!!) and crab cake sammy … excellent. Loved the vibe, Sam & Anna who provided great food & company 🖤🫶🏻 Excellent people & food!

A first time dinner visit at Blue Crab Grill for us. ( A birthday celebration dinner). A nice surprise. Definitely a solid go to place for locals and a new restaurant to add to our list. Seafood is fresh and well prepared. Service was focused, attentive and welcoming/ friendly. Atmosphere is comfortable. And being located in a strip mall...has plenty of parking which is a asset in Newark.
It was quiet when we were there, but it was a weeknight and early. Since they have live music on the weekends and it is rather large in size, we suspect it could be much different in noise levels on weekends.

Our server wasn’t on top of things we had to remind her for different things and then 1 meal took like 20 minutes after everyone s meal and it wasn’t the right entree. We haven’t been here in several years and our daughter wanted to go for her birthday, we weren’t very happy with our visit tonight! We don’t recommend to go here for big parties/7 people, even though our server only had 2 tables. I’m not really sure what was going on with her, she also brought us the other tables food by mistake… it would have been nice if the manager came by also but that also didn’t happen. I don’t think the server told them the problem s that occurred.. very disappointing birthday dinner for our daughter!

Stuffed flank steak & Halibut with dill sauce. Both dishes were cold. Halibut was dry. Service was meh. Restaurant itself needs some refreshing (tears in the booth, etc) Pricey for what we got. Not inclined to return

We wanted seafood for lunch and found this place pretty easily after a quick search. Entered the restaurant and it was empty, however it was a bit of a wait before we were greeted as there was no one at the hostess stand or on the floor. We had to wave down the chef in the kitchen and she was able to alert someone that we were there! Happy that we stayed because the peek in the kitchen we were able to see fresh bread being made and food being prepared that I wanted to eat! After this experience in the beginning, it was all uphill from there from the service of our waitress the big booth seats to the food experience. The only thing we did not enjoy was the French onion soup, which was kind of flavorless, but we took it to go, and I will definitely doctor it up and eat it later for sure.
Go here!

If you want food with no flavor, terrible service, and to sit a few feet from a loud band while trying to converse over dinner, then this is the place for you. The best thing we had were the rolls and the calamari. The scallops had a weird texture. Were they cooked in a microwave? So hot in the middle but a kind of mushy texture. Served with flavorless white rice and overcooked vegetables. The andouille was bland….how is that even possible? The servers were overwhelmed. I had to finally ask if a server was assigned to us. We didn’t even get drinks until we were finished with our appetizers. Entres took about 1.5 hours to arrive to our table. Were there any managers on duty? We were seated in front of where later a band would play without being warned or asked if that worked. Too loud to chat with friends. Unless you like your grandpa’s food I suggest you run from this ‘restaurant.’

The service takes over an hour for our food! Waitress never checked on us until we complained about the wait for our food
