Incredibly dirty. The floors are disgraceful; pieces of food & a roach running around. All eight tables were dirty, only the high top counter seating was clean. 2:30pm, not busy.

While it’s a chain, this Newark location feels very local thanks to the friendly staff and efficient service. The space is clean and casual—perfect for a quick bite or a takeout stop. Their claim to fame is the “Bobbie” sandwich, which I had to try. It's essentially Thanksgiving on a roll: slow-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo. I was honestly surprised at how balanced it was—savory, sweet, and creamy all at once. The turkey tasted freshly carved, not like deli meat, and the stuffing had a nice herby flavor that didn’t overwhelm. I also tried a Capastrami—hot pastrami with Swiss cheese, coleslaw, and Russian dressing—and it was just as satisfying. The bread is soft but holds up well, and portion sizes are huge. You’ll definitely leave full. They offer both cold and hot subs, vegetarian options, and even party trays for group orders. Everything’s made to order, and the staff are fast and efficient, even during busy lunch hours. Prices are fair for the quality and size of the sandwiches. Capriotti’s isn’t fancy, but that’s its charm—it delivers big, bold sandwiches that feel like comfort food but with deli-level quality. It’s a spot I’ll return to often.

Ordered at the counter and 5 minutes later nobody has started making my sandwich and there are 3 guys backfire and nobody ahead of me. I will choose a different one next time because this is ridiculous.
It's also very hot so waiting sucked.

Was greeted right away when I came to get a large order. The staff was friendly and quick, and the food was stellar. I strongly recommend considering them for any sandwich catering. Everyone was in love with the quality and flavor at our gathering.

PLEASE dont tell me Cappriotti’s are changing their rolls! The rolls crispy on the outside that took a strong jaw on each bite to bite away today was a roll the consistency of a hotdog roll, where if it gets the least bit wet, it just disentigrates. I called and the man said the bakery has issues but PLEASE FOLKS, perfect food cant be improved!! Mikes famous steaks are no longer Mikes and Woodfired pizza has been ruined too. PLEASE say it isnt so with Cappriottis too!!

The sandwich maker was using a cell phone while making subs. Disgusting 🤢.
Also the gentleman at the register handling money did not change his gloves.

The staff is incredible, so friendly and helpful. This place has great food that is quick and easy when you’re on the go or just need a good sandwich for Sunday football. Highly recommend!

Rude & racist! He couldn't even take my order right. He claimed I was confusing him with a simple order so I nicely told him to cancel it and walked out! Find another location!

Unfortunately we have to find a new shop. Something has been wrong in every order for several months. (1 to 2 a month) Too expensive to continue.
