This is only the 2nd time I tried this place. Tgis time I was disappointed. (Last time, the Stromboli was okay)I tried the steak, pepper, and onion Stromboli this time. The steak had several pieces of fatty grizzle that could not be chewed. This time, the service was rather indifferent, focused on her phone. The first time, the woman was very friendly. DP Dough is a Newark institution. It's changed hands, but it remains unchanged in its essence: Calzones, and only calzones.
Extremely limited in-house dining, DP Dough is almost exclusively carryout and delivery. It's not even remotely fancy, but it's hearty, comforting, and tasty.
