As long-time patrons of Golden City, it's disheartening to say they've let us down for the first time in over a decade. Our recent experience was terrible from start to finish. Initially promised a 40-minute delivery, we ended up waiting a full two hours.

When the food finally arrived, it was downright disgusting. We ordered General Tso's chicken, beef & broccoli, and chicken wings, none of which were edible. The chicken was shockingly both burnt and undercooked, while the rice tasted old and burnt. The beef and broccoli remained untouched, as it seemed unsafe to eat after such a delay.

To make matters worse, when we called to express our concerns, we were met with rudeness and were denied any offer to remake the meal or issue a refund. It’s truly sad to see how far Golden City has fallen from the quality we once loved.

I walked in and saw a worker putting white rice in a container using her hand, no utensil around.

Had some general tsos chicken that is honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Tasted like day old meal that was microwaved. Idk if they did but it was super soggy, which can be expected but tough on the inside. Also the rice tasted old, hard grains throughout. Idk if they’re not covering food and putting in the fridge, but absolutely atrocious food, literally had 4 bites of a $20 meal

Best wonton soup and chicken and broccoli! The sweet and sour chicken is great! I’ve been going here for years! Such good food and workers!

Vegetarian options: The brocoli and mushroom in garlic sauce is a great vegetarian option (nice & spicy)

Let’s just say that when you order a quart of roast pork fried rice. You don’t need all ten fingers to count the pieces of pork.
Also the roast pork yat gaw mein had two slivers of roast pork in it. When I say slivers I’m talking like three inche strands of spaghetti type slivers.
Called to complain and was told that it is soup. So I guess there’s no roast pork in a roast pork soup? Kind of like chicken stew without the chicken. You can tell she’s used to complaints by the way she handles herself over the phone.

The sweet and sour shrimp I recieved was BURNT AND HARD. NOT EDIBLE! I called the restaurant and they said they couldn't refund my money or send another order. So I am screwed for dinner and out my money. Sent complaint to Uber Eats. Got to wait until they reply. This socks! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!! OUT OF 24.00 AND A MEAL..NOT FAIR!!@##$%%
