I was extremely disappointed in my experience here and likely won’t be back. I ordered the burrata BLT and got it on sourdough. The sandwich that was brought out was just lame. There was hardly any burrata or bacon on the sandwich and the bread definitely was not sourdough, or at least good sourdough. The manager said since I ate half, it couldn’t be taken off the bill as is, even though half of that sandwich was a tiny piece of cheese and a piece of bacon. The only thing that might be able to fix that sandwich would be some turkey or chicken, but as is, $19 is just outrageous for what you get. I then ordered the fish tacos as a replacement, and they were fine at best. There was way too much cabbage on the tacos and not a lot of fish. The avocado cream and avocado helped it, but I ended up leaving behind almost half of each taco since the portion was way off. Our server was great. He was on top of everything and took care of all our needs and is honestly the reason this isn’t a one star review. The food simply does not justify a visit to this place as you will be disappointed in the taste and/or portion size for the price you pay.

Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen is definitely an excellent place to grab any meal. Their menu features food inspired by classic American dishes, which are not only tasty but also prepared with fresh ingredients. However, I do have some notes that could improve the overall dining experience. Firstly, the prices for the main dishes seem a bit high. Despite this, the restaurant boasts an amazing outdoor area that is fully equipped for seating even during the colder months. The servers are incredibly friendly, although they could be a bit slow at times. Nevertheless, this isn't a significant issue as the overall atmosphere of the place makes for a fun and enjoyable time. In summary, the restaurant offers good food and a great atmosphere, but it is a bit overpriced.

I used to go to Grain on Main once every week or so, and always had a great experience. After being away for a few years I took my partner to Grain for lunch yesterday, a Friday afternoon. The service and atmosphere was great as usual, and the food tasted good. The biggest issue is the price and portion size. I paid over 60 dollars (tip included) for two fast food sized smash-burgers, half a baggie of chips and one beer and one cider. I left the restaurant hungry. For 60 dollars you shouldn't have to leave and go home to make yourself more food. The portion sizes were comparable to a Wendy's double cheeseburger.
I won't go here again. You can make 60 dollars go A LOT farther somewhere else. I was extremely disappointed.

Protein power bowl was terrible. Absolutely no regard for take out orders. This is the second time in a row a meal from here has been a waste of money.
I was pleasantly surprised. Pretty standard good options but the staff was great and the food delicious.

Was here for their down syndrome guest bartending night. Everyone from the hosts to the servers was amazing. Special shoutout to the manager Mark. He ensured everyone had full drinks and was having a great time. Highly recommend this establishment.

I want to love this place, but the food portion of things makes it a 3 star restaraunt at best. Food was really just 'okay'. I love the ambiance, and towny feel to this bar, something that most other bars in Newark lacks - nice change of pace. Drinks are pretty good.
