We popped in for a late night bite and the food was really good, not to mention good sized portions. Lots of tvs and the open windows to the outdoor patio at the bar made for a nice setting

Went to Grain Exchange right on the UD campus for lunch. What a great venue. Bar is open to the outside with seats both in and out. Lots of tables outside as well. Perfect spot for a meal and drinks. Many different beers on tap. Food was excellent. Nice clean place with friendly staff. Will definitely recommend to friends for any meal. Would also be a good spot for games with multiple TV’s in the bar. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a specialty product and found it here! No one in my area carries it. To the best part - we live 90 min away from here and the owner delivered to me (met in a mutual location) so I’d have my item in time!! Can’t wait to get there in person and check it out! We were first time customers but will definitely be back!!

We had a reservation for parents weekend weeks in advance. We got sat and didn’t get greeted for about 20 minutes. We ordered and waited about 40 minutes for any food to come out. When we asked a different server, she said let me see if she put your food in. No manager was present the whole time.

We were looking for somewhere in Newark to accommodate approximately 50 people for my mother's surprise 70th birthday party. I had been to the other Grain locations, but I had not been to Grain Exchange. After contacting them, I learned they were closed on Sundays and we would be able to rent out the whole restaurant. Pete, the manager, is amazing! He was so easy to work with and went above and beyond prior and during the party (we had asked for a few additional food items during the party). He didn't hesitate to ensure everything went smoothly. The food and drinks were great. Everyone who attended couldn't stop telling me how great the location and food were, how clean the restaurant was, how they loved the decor, and especially how nice and attentive the staff were to them! From Pete to our servers to the bartender Steph, and Jay who helped me plan, everyone was spectacular. There is a little grassy area outside where the kids could run around. I live out of state, but I'll be sure to stop in each time I'm back visiting. Thank you all so much for ensuring my mother's party went so well!
If you go, get the Cream of Chesapeake soup and thank me later!

Google asked me to review but the last two times I tried to come here to try it out, there were private events which closed the whole place down. Looks OK, but I guess you should check their website calendar to make sure it's open. Hopefully, I'll get to try Grain Exchange soon and update my review!

Scheduled a last minute gathering of work buddies for lunch that got quite large. The restaurant staff was very accommodating and assured me they could handle the large group for lunch service. We had absolutely excellent service, that was fast and very friendly. Even people that showed up late were waited on immediately. The food was excellent and the whole experience was second to none. We will certainly be back. Thanks for a great lunch!

Great atmosphere; there was a live musician, which was very nice. Nice place to get a drink after work. I was there for an hour and had 1 beer, but the food I saw being served looked tasty. Will definitely return to try some food!! Service was exceptional even though it was extremely busy.

Our group was unable to road trip UD football so we tailgated at the Grain. Large TV with the game playing (UD won, woohoo)! Service was good, food was really good. I’m sure we will go back(especially if it’s raining!, half our group are allergic to rain). Go Hens!!!
Ended up here by mistake, was supposed to go to Grain Cafe. Came here for brunch… The food was not good (all parties agreed and they had different brunch options) and the portions were small. I wanted to like it but it was a flop. Might just be best as a sports barAlso, food came out slow but there were only 3-4 tables seated.
