Ordered take out late after work and incredibly disappointing by the outrageously small portion size. THIS was $16!! A few pieces of tuna, some guac and chips. Food tasted fine, interior is nice, and the service was slow though bearable but their menu prices are highway robbery. Likely won’t be coming back again.

Not great. Got the roast beef and cheddar ($19) and you could tell the roast beef had been around awhile. They've changed their fries, too. Used to be pretty good, but now they're like McDonald's fries but not as good.
For the price, far from worth it.
Gourmet twists on normal fare. Good selection for everyone. Great lunch time spot.

Disappointed recently. The food is generally good but the prices are higher most similar restaurants in the area. Portion sizes are decreasing too. I suppose that's normal most everywhere in 2025, but Grain is already priced pretty high.

Ordered to go was in the area for work & just needed something quick & close. The food was really good especially the sweet potato fries with the caramel sauce 😋 however the roll/bread for the cheesestake was way too much. I know they all come on a roll but this was very thick & for the amount of steak it was overpowering. I ended up just eating the stake & half of 1 of the rolls. Overall good price $17 isn't bad, really cute place I loved the atmosphere of the half outside bar & seating area, not sure where a host was I just found some guy who worked there at the bar & asked about my order & where the bathroom was usually the host is standing by 1 of the doors but even by the other door where you go out to the bathroom there wasn't one. It seemed pretty slow maybe they were doing both host & serving though but it's Saturday night guess every1 is at the stadium at the game. Hope it picks up afterwards.

Waited for 10 min to be seated . Nobody came so I walked up to a server who said I could sit anywhere. Once I sat nobody came to take my order for 30 minutes so I left. They all saw me sitting there and made eye contact with me multiple times. All 3 servers.

Consistency is an issue. I have had great meals there, with great service. However, the deal killer is you never know how the meal is going to go before you get there. Are you going to have an attentive server who follows up in a timely fashion, or are you going to wait for 15, 20, or even 30 minutes waiting for something to happen as your server disappears in to the back or hangs out by the bar. There have been times where I left cash on the table and walked out because it was so difficult to get any sort of proper service.

Nice spot but annoyed that we had to pay for parking. Food and service were okay, nothing to write home about.

Had the best dinner with friends while visiting Newark. Sat on this beautiful patio. The food was amazing and had gluten free options which I appreciate. Enjoyed a great burger and gf key lime pie which were both delicious! The staff were friendly and very accommodating.

We were recently at the Grain Exchange for a private birthday celebration. The staff were incredibly attentive, the food and drinks were amazing and the space is really nice. I especially loved the patio once the sun set behind the building! It was my first time to the University of Delaware campus, and it definitely left a positive impression. Thanks to everyone at the Grain Exchange who helped my husband’s aunt and uncle throw an
incredible birthday party - definitely worth the flight from Atlanta!

We celebrated our son's 40th birthday this past weekend at Grain Exchange, and it could not have been more perfect! From start to finish, Team Grain made this such a memorable and special event for our family! Pete (GM) and Simon (Manager) went above and beyond in helping us plan every detail!! They were so attentive and caring, it truly felt Pete and Simon were celebrating with us! Everyone raved about the food..from appys to entrees (especially Pete's family recipes on the menu). The bartenders (Andy & Sherise) kept the cocktails flowing! Our family had fun trying just about every drink on the menu!!! AJ and Andrew provided amazing support throughout the party too! The venue is so welcoming, with indoor and outdoor space including bars, which was so cool as our family had plenty of room to mingle and enjoy each other. Thanks to the entire Grain Exchange team, our party was a huge success...filled with laughter and lasting memories not just for our son, but for our entire family! We will continue to be Grain Exchange fans for life!

Dog friendly on the patio which was fun for our furry friend and had a great server who was also a pooch owner. All of us enjoyed each other. Oh, the food was great also and a wonderful beer selection.

Hosted an event at Grain Exchange this July and I could not be more pleased with the experience! They are willing to accommodate all of your needs, and the service was excellent. All of the staff are pleasant and helpful!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We love going there for brunch on the weekends because the parking is easier then. The menu changes and the staff are really nice. They have plenty of outdoor seating too. Would definitely recommend it if in the area.
