I’ve unfortunately seen a lot of negative reviews of here so I figured I need to state how great it’s been to me my whole life. I’m a Newark resident and commonly eat here, though usually the same thing I’m a huge fan of their Lo mein, General Tso, Egg Foo Yung, Wonton soup and their teriyaki chicken sticks. These have never been bad!! Though busy and seemingly short staff they all have a professional and welcoming attitude. Great place with a long standing in a loving community.

There is 0 reason for this place to be as horrible as they are. I called in an order 15 mins in advance to get there and have to wait 20+ mins to receive my food because there is 1000 DoorDashers in the way. I witnessed a guy place an order than wait 10 mins to swipe his card. This place needs serious changes. Any recommendations??

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE
I called to place an order for delivery and was met with an unpleasant voice over the phone of a middle aged white woman who sounded to be under the influence of some form of substance. She repeated my order and address back to me incorrectly. After my card was charged, 10 minutes later she calls back to inform me they cannot deliver my order because of a $30 minimum on delivery orders not including the delivery charge and drinks. So my $32 was not good enough for them. I now have to wait 3 days to receive my money back, if it was ever voided anyway. Most places only have a $20 minimum I have never heard of $30 before. I think it was just the fact that they did not have a delivery driver because they stated that twice while adding in about a $30 minimum so it doesn’t look as bad on their part as a business. Very bad service

Very very good general tsou chicken, but the lomaine and egg roll had an off flavor , definitely worth it for the chicken though.

Update: just now trying the orange chicken and wow it tastes terrible, smells like orange dog shampoo, and it’s not as tender and cooked as well as the general tso. Very disappointing

The chicken on the stick was good, but a little too salty

broccoli in brown sauce is the redeeming factor here

I caught ecoli from this place the very next day I got ill I should have known better not to eat from here again when they served me shrimp fried rice with bad shrimp in it shame on y’all playing with people health❗️

I have come here numerous times and have never had a problem. The food was delicious as usual. You can tell it's freshly made. It's nice to go there and get amazing customer service. They are quick, fast, and delicious!

We bought their fried chicken along with other dishes. The chicken clearly had a bad taste probably from old oil or overheated oil. On returning it with the next order; the manager essentially said that there is nothing wrong with it and we're lying about it
He looked at it and said it looked okay. Not the first time returning to this restaurant over many okay orders but it will be the last. They lost a long time customer rather than admitting that they made a mistake!

DELIVERY DRIVERS BEWARE.

Lady seemed nice at first, but accused me of stealing someone's food as a delivery driver. She claimed that their system showed I was still in the parking lot. It was probably 20-25 minutes after the delivery. I was already somewhere else. I only answered because she called twice, and I recognized the area code. Mind you, I'm still delivering other people's orders at this point.

She called asking, "why did you steal food, why didn't you deliver." Then AFTERWARDS said "ok let me call the customer." You mean to tell me that you didn't verify the food was actually delivered with the customer before you harassed me? Instead, you assumed that I took it? I dont want to play the race card, but I probably know why she assumed.

Hadn't she called with such an accusatory tone, then I wouldn't have written this review. You simply could've asked, "our system shows blah blah blah... is this true?" or something along those lines. Even then, why are you calling a driver after the fact?

I've NEVER dealt with this much unprofessionalism as a driver. Perhaps it's their culture, but there's a proper way to address an issue.

Lovely life

This is the best Chinese place around. Also have the most friendly service, I am greeted like family when I come in. The food is amazing. Very large portions always taste fresh. The place is clean and willing to accommodate specific requests. My family usually orders every Sunday! We have tried others and nothing compares. For large order they are always quick and ready when I arrive.

To me, it's hard to find an excellent Chinese restaurant locally. I have tried many of them, but none compare to The Wall in Newark, DE, off of Marrows Road. They make the best General Tso's chicken and shrimp egg roll I have ever had. Checkout was quick, just like I like it. Now, the Great Wall in Newark is my new Chinese Reataurant. Thank you.
