The woman running the register and apparently the restaurant was a great character, a good, down to the earth, taking good care of the customers type.Loved you!!!

Love Helen's Sausage Breakfast sandwiches. If you get there right at open 6am. There is no waiting on your order!

First time going here and they didn’t even toast my bread on my sandwich. I went back in and they told me i had to ask for my sandwich to be toasted.

We absolutely love it here. The hostess is very nice. My husband gets the sausage and egg and I get the ham and egg. Everything is always cooked up perfectly.

This CAN'T be part of the sausage brand from Smyrna! The hostess is the ONLY pleasant thing about my visit. I brought two double sausage sandwiches, one had half a sausage, I asked for cheese for one, which they put on the bread and made it soggy, the eggs were not fully cooked, I ordered two sandwiches, tuna and chicken salad, between them they had less than 1/3 once of chicken or tuna salad, we thought they were just bread wrapped in foil until we opened the bread. I will NEVER come here again, I rather go to Smyrna!Parking: Parking is a no go!!

Ok. Take II.....Great experience today at Helen's in Newark. Again I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing (not on purpose). They were still open. The ladies inside were extremely helpful and upbeat. Food was outstanding. Guessing my first experience was a "one-off" and I know that everyone has off days. I bought a single and a ton of sausages for the weekend St. Patty's Day parade post party. Overall, 5 star experience and I will be back again, and again.....

Arrived at 1:45pm. Paid for parking and the place was closed. 15 minutes before posted closing time……poorly run restaurant. Drove a hour to make there by 2pm. I understand budgeting the food supply to max profit margin….but let’s go, get it right…..today wasn’t opening day. Really disappointed.

I would give it a perfect 5 stars but the food wasn't hot like I'm used to at Smyrna Helen's.

I picked up my sandwich and it was The worst breakfast sandwich I've ever had! Cold beef sausage that was undercooked on a cold roll with bland cold onions

Great little spot- hot beef sausages are great on their own- low prices. Sausages may have too much of a kick to them for children but they do grilled cheese
