Hey y"all! I would recommend this place to anyone and I have done so. I've gotten to know the owner "Ann", Always with a smile! I have been going to Ming Garden in Newark De for over 20 years. Also for you leftover eaters, let me say, this is only chinese food that tastes fresh if not better the next day! (Warmed of course.) Every bite is delicious, although better with chopsticks!

I just tried to order takeout and they said "were changing food you cannot order takeout for 2 months" what?? I ordered when they first switched ownership and things were fine. This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant and now I'm just completely disappointed. ? ♀️

I really REALLY wanted crab Rangoon. The website let me order it, but when I showed up to pick it up, the nice lady said they were all out and offered to cancel it or get egg rolls instead. Waited another 15 minutes or so for egg rolls, which were okay, but not what I wanted. Please don't let us order stuff if you don't have it.

I've been going here for 18 years. We use to go a few times a month when I lived closer and the owner knew me by name which I loved. In my opinion they had the best Chinese around. I finally had the opportunity to stop in there today and was super excited to have some good Chinese food. I had no idea this place changed ownership needless to say it was the most disgusting Chinese food I have ever had I'm pretty sure it was left over from lunch! It's a shame, guess I'll have to find somewhere else to go.

First time order, online. Got there and they couldn't find the order, so asked what I had ordered. Didn't charge me at the counter so they must have known I had already paid. Ordered $25 of food on line but they gave me $15 worth of food at the counter. Never going back and will dispute the charge with my CC. For Shame!

Ever since the original owners sold this plave. It has went downhill. 😢 i used to love it there. Tonight once again food overcooked and absolutely no flavor at all!! Hot tea was cold, the waitress was basically staring waiting for me to finish. And i didn't even eat hardly anything but rice and soup. Couldn't eat the shrimp they came out fried when i thought they would be steamed. And when i questioned her, she basically made me feel like. Duh you should know that. I will never go back again. I have tried 3 different times. So 3 strikes your out. Very disappointed..

The food is disgusting and it's always either over cooked or under cooked. And it's gotten ten times worse since the new owners took over. I recently ordered some chicken wings and it looks completely deformed. Im appalled that a business would find it appropriate to sell something like that to someone. And the shrimp rolls are so greasy I had to squeeze the oil out myself because I was getting nauseous from eating it. Just save your money and go somewhere else.
This used to be my favorite and only place I would order chinese food from. Something has changed recently not sure if it is under new owners,a new chef or what. The General Tso's chicken was not big hunks of breaded white meat chicken as it used to be, they were smaller,chewy and tasted funny. The sauce was very spicy.... not the norm. The rice was a different texture, not as good & fresh as it has always been in the past 5yrs I've ordered from here. The eggrolls were very greasy... again not the normal. Also the older woman that has always been at the front counter was not there. Not crazy about the changes to the food,that we noticed a few days ago. No longer my go to place after ownership change :-( they ruined the best chinese food in the area.

Ordered take out today. Very pleased - I considered it authentic Chinese food. Having lived in Taiwan for many years, I can tell you this is the real deal. When you go there, tell them you want the real Chinese food vs American Chinese food. Or if you can read Chinese, order from the Chinese menu. These are new owners and eager to please.

Ordered door dash and my food was cold because they made my driver wait until "pick up time". They obviously don't care about their quality of service or their customers. It would have been nice to get my food early and hot. Lost my business. If I could give zero stars I would.

This place is gross and inconsistent. I have only had multiple times because it was actually pretty good the first time, but the next few times were AWFUL. An egg roll so hard I could not eat it, dumplings put IN A BAG which just molded together to form one giant nasty dumpling. I wont eat here again. You can take the risk if you want...when its bad its epically bad though.
