Ordered over the phone with 6 other people. Take out. For breakfast. At 1030 am. Had bagel and cream cheese and lox. Great bagels. Crispy on outside soft in middle. Lox was yummy and plentiful. So I’d give the place a five if it stopped here. But they put a large, very dill pickle on the bottom my bagel amd lox. Separated but with paper that was soaked through with pickle juice. I like pickles but not all over my bagel!! So overall down to a three.

First visit. Expensive. $2.94 to add bacon is ridiculous. What's even more ridiculous is paying the $2.94 and find when i get home there's no bacon on my sandwich. Fortunately i had scrapple on it so the sandwich was still good. I can buy a whole package of bacon for $6. Lower your prices. If i lived closer i would have brought it back but it wasn't worth the trip. Congrats on stealing $2.94 from me. Only reason you get 3 stars is the food was good but pay better attention to detail. I could see maybe if it was busy, but it wasn't at all. I was one if three customers in the store and the food got to me quick.

the absolute worst experience i’ve ever had. Ordered on their website. My order status was never updated so for 2 whole hours, my order was marked as “Ready in 45 minutes”. Went in to get my order after 1 hour and it wasn’t ready. 2 hours later, I go in and wait another 10 minutes because the workers are ignoring the customers. Finally get my food and get back to work to find out my food is cold and my order wasn’t even prepared the way I paid for. Save your time and money and find a different bagel/breakfast/brunch spot

I used to love this place, so when I was back in town I tried to treat myself to a bagel. Unfortunately due to their horrible customer service I don't think I will ever be back. When their card reader rejected my card I offered to pay online through their website so the payment would go through. The person at the register just stared at me so I sat down and placed my order - their website directed me to Grub Hub. Then once the order was placed I went back to the counter to let them know that Grub Hub said they only offered delivery and not pickup, but that the order was for me and I was available to pick it up when ready. Then the owner came over and told me that I should not have used Grub Hub because now the store would have to pay a fee to Grub Hub. I was getting annoyed at this point because I tried repeatedly to pay without using Grub Hub, but I just apologized and said I keep that in mind for next time. Then I sat down to wait for my order. I was passing time on my phone and realized half an hour had gone by. When I went to check on my order, it was sitting on the counter with a receipt taped to it that said it had been finished 15 minutes prior. They just let me sit there while my food got cold. The egg and cheese sandwich was just ok but was not worth the 45 minutes that I spent in the store. Now its been a week and I just saw on my credit card statement that I was charged $22 for one bagel sandwich! I looked at my Grub Hub account and they had added $10 of additional delivery and driver fees even though I picked the order up in person! Now I have to go through Grub Hub customer service to try to get the fraudulent charges removed. Such a hassle for what was supposed to just be a little treat. I wasn't going to leave a bad review, but after I saw that they modified my order to add a bunch of bogus fees I felt I had to do this to let people know that they are literally scamming people.

I had an everything bagel with cream cheese at Newark Deli and Bagels this morning, and it was delicious! The bagel was perfectly chewy and flavorful, and the cream cheese was smooth and creamy. The service was also very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great bagel.

The worst food I've ever had. Stale bagel at 9am. Asked for Turkey bacon she said yes. Gave me regular bacon, asked for ice tea, she said they have it. Looked at the machine to be sure. After he daughter told her it was out of order. I figured she would check and tell me if I couldn't have any. Gave me a cup charged me for it and it was out of order. Sandwich was put together horribly as soon as you pull it apart everything falls out of it because it wasn't full cut. The best part was the iced coffee I had to make myself and add flavor to because other wise it was also stale. First and last time I'll ever go there.

NDB is a staple for UD students and alumni, and for good reason. Everything I've ever ordered here has been delicious, and their bagel sandwiches can't be beat. However, despite vegetarian breakfast meat alternatives being widely available and not terribly expensive, they still haven't added any of those options to the menu. I love a good egg and cheese on an everything bagel, but it would be great to get one with Beyond or Impossible sausage every now and then, too.The coffee is adequate if you're just looking for basic drip coffee brewed in large batches.

Custom experience was terrible, I’m a sever and so is my girlfriend. We understand mistakes and would typically never write a review. My girlfriend has an egg allergy and I told them when I ordered, when I went home her bagel had egg on it, she called and very nicely explained to them the mix up. They said if we come back we can pick up another bagel (never mentioned we have to bring the bagel back). She lives right down the street so I walked back. When I came for pick up they said I needed the old bagel, I told them I threw it out because we couldn’t eat it and they replied “how do I know you didn’t eat it”. So I called my girlfriend and she brought the bagel from the trash to the store. They finally she exchanged the bagel after 3 trips back to the store. The counter girl who took our order was very nice and apologetic, but the manger (at least who I think is) was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unapologetic about her order and not exchanging it after they messed u and not to mention an allergy issue that we told from the start.
