No. 1 Chinese Restaurant

This is one of the better Chinese takeout places in the area, and I've been coming here for years and years. I think the influx of negative reviews are either the competition or people are mixing up this restaurant with one in NJ or something. EITHER OR I highly recommend this one.

In my opinion, one of the best Chinese food

Our favorite spot in Newark on a Friday night (or any day of the week nobody wants to cook.) The staff really make this place worth it alone. The girl at the front counter is always extremely friendly. From the phone call to pick up, just really friendly. The food is also really good. We have never had any issues with wrong orders or bad food. Everything is always hot and tastes very good. Keep up the good work you all really care about your business and it shows.

It's a lil dingy inside, but THE FOOD is next level honey!!! Best General Tso's Chicken I've had in 20 years. I'll take the food being amazing over the atmosphere ANY DAY lol I eat it at home anyway..they do have tables inside the restaurant if you're really hungry and gotta eat NOW 🥡🥠 Food is always fresh and hot. Get you some..cuz now I'm hungry and I wanna eat of your plate friend. 😅

I had the veg fried rice and crab Rangoon and it f'ing slapped. So good omg. Can't wait to go back and try something else

I went to this restaurant when the previous owner had it, and just recently ordered a food as I know new owner bought it. The food was good and delicious. I liked the fries as it tasted like homemade.

absolutely wonderful food! i particularly enjoyed the happy family, which is a mix of chicken, shrimp, beef, mushroom and corn, as well as the house lo mein! the staff is friendly and welcoming too! the location is perfect with ample parking, and is in proximity to many things, making it highly accessible and convenient. i can’t wait to dine here more and make this my regular chinese take out!

The food is ok - Not bad, not great. They do have brown rice and vegan options. My order was delayed due to ordering extra brown rice, they had enough customer focus to apologize for the delay several times.

I would give a zero if I had that choice. It was terrible. I just wasted 15$.

I want to start by saying I love this place- it’s a family favorite in my house. Today’s experience has gone above and beyond. I am so thankful and appreciative of the service that I was given today. I wasn’t feeling too well today and slacked on ordering dinner for the family. We decided on Chinese at 9pm. Knowing they closed at 9:30pm I gave it a shot and called. They said they would gladly be able to make our meal but asked if we could be there by the time that they close at 9:30. Living only 5 mins down the road I assured them I would be there in time. Little did I know we would get into a car accident. After calling 911, I called to make them aware of the situation. They offered to hang around until 10pm. As we waited for the cop to finish, it was about 5 til, so I called the restaurant to pay over the phone and asked if they could just set the food outside for us because I didn’t want them to have to wait any longer. As we pulled up there at 10:05pm, they were waiting outside for us and immediately asked if we were okay. I apologized and thanked them for checking in and waiting for us. I wanted everyone to know how great they were. Getting back in the car I began to get teary eyed because I couldn’t believe how kind they were and how the first thing they asked is if we were all okay.

They will forever have my business!
