I am giving this awesome review because the young men that worked tonight (7/11/25) deserve it!! Our food was hot, fresh and good! They were obviously short staffed and the AC inside the restaurant was broken. Despite that challenging obstacle in 90 degree weather, that did not stop them from working hard and diligently! They were all so friendly and worked well together. Please fix the AC and keep up the great work!!
I have no idea how this place is still open. The service is absolutely pathetic—easily some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I only end up here once every year or two when I’m in a rush and don’t want to deal with Wawa next door, and every time I regret it. It somehow gets worse each visit. The staff acts like they don’t care at all, the food is consistently undercooked, sloppy, and looks like it was thrown together in a rush. Zero pride, zero effort. Honestly, it’s embarrassing this place is still in business.

Not only was the food here cooked well and delicious, but the team members are also really nice and helpful. Even though I sent the wrong order to the store, the employees and manager here were trying their best to help me. I am happy and would recommend this Popeyes store to anyone.
The store was full of smoke when we walked in, the cashier ignored us for a good 10 minutes and had a terrible attitude!! Not a good experience at all!!

Half the chicken was hot, half was cold. Did not give me two of my sides for my family meal. Butterfly shrimp were so stale and old couldn’t even bite into it. I’ll go to the Popeyes on Rt. 13 before I’ll ever come back here! won’t be surprised if this one shuts down by the end of next year!

I had a fantastic experience at the Popeyes on Capitol Trail in Newark, DE! The manager and cashiers were incredibly friendly and efficient, making me feel welcome right away. The spicy chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, and the sides, especially the biscuits, were delicious. The restaurant was clean and well-organized, even during the lunch rush. If you're craving great fried chicken, this location is a must-visit!
