A friend of mine and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time last night. The bacon wrapped scallops and crab cakes were good but the dessert and the sides were awful. Together we paid over 120.00 for our meals. I just wish if we were spending $120 the quality of the food would have been better.

Tonight my family and I came in. Our server was a warm, friendly beautiful lady named Ryleigh. She was amazing. Great service, she was attentive and helpful. The food was great. Fresh. Nice flavors. Good portions. Well worth the money spent. The crab potatoe skins was good. Cesar salad was good. Entrees we got the surf and Turf. Amazing. And the short rib. Also amazing.

Cool spot in Newark, De. Nautically themed, it seems to be a hit with the locals. My wife had the lump crab cake with veggies, and I had the beef stroganoff with purple mashed potatoes and mushroom du jour. Ended the meal with a most delicious snickerdoodle tart. We enjoyed our meals.

We visited on a busy night and I could tell right from walking in, the front staff was overwhelmed. The food:We had 3 issues with our meals. One with two of the same orders(surf and turf pasta) coming out missing part of the listed items(lobster) and one with the flavor of the accessory item(salmon dish). Overall of the main courses the consensus was overall bland. And the accessory item (cous cous) to the main dish was considered unacceptable in taste. The issues with the order lacking items was fixed. The issue with the unacceptable accessory item was offered to be corrected but by then the meal was over.I had a burger and side salad. It wasn’t anything to write home about. The service:Like it said it was easy to tell the staff was overwhelmed from the door. It took a while for wait staff to come over for a drink order. We waited probably close to 45 minutes for our food to come out. I did notice other tables were offered bread while they waited. That was not offered at our table. Not that our server was free to come check on us and ask. With the issues with our food the owner did come out and offer solutions. He removed the poor quality dish from the menu and offered a free desert to take home. I was told the desert was good. The last thing I’m realizing is the kids meal was due to come with ice cream. Which was never rendered during our time. But also no one thought about taking it to go. So that falls on us too.Overall:Based on the reviews we were disappointed with our experience. Maybe the restaurant was having a bad night. But the price/quality ratio didn’t match. We are not likely to return.Parking: Large parking lot shared among other places.Kid-friendliness: Does have a kids menu. High chairs available.Wheelchair accessibility: Should be wheelchair accessible. Bathroom may have some tight angles.

I took my wife here last night for her birthday and let me just say everything was excellent! From the waiter and his services, to our food and its presentation, my wife and I enjoyed it all! We loved the ambiance and how our food was very delicious. My wife and I are making this our secret spot and we will definitely be back soon!

Hubby and I spent some time at White Clay Creek and decided to grab a bite before heading home. We arrived well after the lunch crowd and before dinnertime so the place was pretty empty. The service was immediate and provided with a smile and pleasantries. Our food arrived quickly and was terrific. I had the filet cheese steak (what a treat!) and hubby had the Beast Burger. He told his buddies it was the best burger he has had in DE. The portions were generous and we both took half of our food home and warmed up for dinner. Look forward to another time...maybe dinner!

Had my appetite ready for their pear salad and apple and brie bread. The bread is no longer an option. They have downsized to a tart. I started to eat my salad and there was a "long black hair* weaved in the lettuce. When I showed the waitress, her response was...."it happens" I agree BUT NO I don't want any other possible "it happens" coming out of the kitchen with "it happens" type of hygiene. Completely ruined my appetite.
