My husband and I had the opportunity to stop in and try Smoke's for the first time and oh boy were we pleasantly surprised! The food was really good. Scott also gave us two bottles of water (for us and our dog Benji)which we didn't order. He came out for a bit and visited with us. I've read quite a lot of the negative comments and I just don't get it. The man works alone, works hard and delivers awesome food. Scott has our business on his good days and bad, because we're all allowed to have bad days right? Cook on Scott, God bless you.

On not 1, Not 2 but 3 occasions iv traveled from Baltimore to Delaware bc iv heard he had the best bbq out there. On one of the three occasions I got there and sign in window said open at 2pm. No problem went along with my day and would catch him business another day! The 2nd and 3rd occasion got there anywhere from 2pm to 2:30pm. Sigh said open at 3pm. So went up and did some things and went back. Just to see a sign change to say open at 3:30. On the 3rd occasion we waited the 15 mins and got gas next door and went back. Had four ppl waiting with us when 3:55 come around I walked to side of building to smoke, away from the other ppl waiting. Saw the owner and watched him while I burned a whole cigarette. The whole time I burned he didn’t move at all. Finally walked towards the side of trailer and ask him if he planed to open anytime soon. He got nasty with me and said he couldn’t open without a generator to power things. He said he had a broken spring. Pritty sure he was knocked out laying on top the generator bc I smoked for prob 8 mins and he didn’t move at all.

The food is delicious. The ribs remind me back in the day. When Daddy and uncles used to bbq all nite before family reunion. Couldn’t wait to taste those ribs and collards, potatoes salad, macaroni and so on. That flavor is so delicious. Only problem I have is waiting time, I think he should get help he’s business would get off pretty well.
Only 3 stars because of the area. You'd think it's busier based on the fact it's on the middle of the highway.
But my mom and I were PLEASED at how the food came out. I had the BBQ chicken Platter, which was smoked and sauced. The Mac and cheese was ok. Smoked but not flavored much. Those Baked Beans were dynamite tho! Onion and chopped garlic? Beautiful combo.
Mom had the half rack of ribs which were juicy and definitely fell off the bone.
Every chance I get I'm stopping there. It takes him a bit to get your food but it's just him, but trust and believe, it's worth the wait!!

As soon as he opens his window it reeks of urine!!! Terrible costumer service. Came once and 3 people waiting outside, one said she was waiting for 2 1/2 hours, the other 30 mins, the other 1 hour - and none have been helped. Never picks up his phone, don’t bother calling, would not recommend I don’t care how “good” the food is.

Came on a Wednesday and it said open at 12. Got there early cause it looked like the food would be amazing. Sat there for 20 minutes and finally he told people waiting that he wasn't gonna be open for another 45 minutes. Came back an hour later and said he wasn't gonna be open until 2. Very disappointed. Hopefully I can try the food someday if it ever opens.

my boyfriend & i pulled into his lot after watching him struggle to park for 15 minutes , my boyfriend asked was he opened or closed and then he shouted at us “does it look like i’m open”. so we drove off appalled that a business owner would respond to customers with such manner. would NOT recommend
