Vita Nova Restaurant

As always, this was fine dining at its best. The Filet Mignon was excellent and the scallops were delicious. Being served by individual servers is so nice and we get a chance to talk to University students as an added bonus. We look forward to dining here anytime we can get a reservation

Vita Nova is, by far, the best restaurant experience in Newark, DE, or surrounding areas of PA, NJ, and MD. The restaurant is a teaching lab for the University of Delaware Hospitality Program -- all of the wait staff and kitchen staff are students and faculty from the program. The food is absolutely phenomenal, the experience is wonderful, and the wine list is extensive -- and everything is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend Vita Nova to anyone who lives in the Newark, DE area, or is planning to be in the area for business or leisure travel.

Wonderful dining experience. as usual. Many gluten free choices plus they brought us delicious savory gluten free scones. Extensive wine list. Excellent service.

Wow! We've been meaning to try Vita Nova for ages and it did not disappoint. Creative, delicious options in a lovely atmosphere. UD students provided excellent service and a wonderful experience!

A most unique dining experience. The food was delicious, the service quite professional and the ambiance was relaxing. The luncheon buffet featured so many delicious items that it was necessary to have a little of everything the first time through the line, then go back for the dishes that were exceptional.

Absolutely delightful lunch at Vita Nova! Food was excellent. Service was attentive and warm. Lovely campus views. Highly recommend!

Lunch at Vita Nova is a very good deal! The buffet offers varied options and the food and ambience are excellent. The only drawback is that it is not always easy to get a reservation since the spot is so popular.

The staff offered their best efforts but shortfalls were evident with the lack of experience which is understandable for new students. Not to deflect on their efforts - but the quality of the food was not up to our expectations for the prices charged. Our overall thoughts though were to support the staff and hopefully as they progress that they will improve on those areas. We will return in the future and will recommend to others.

Vita Nova is exceptional in food and service. The change the menu frequently. The teacher come from amazing top notch backgrounds that teach the students how to deliver 5 star service. Vita Nova's food and service is hands down better than the Green Room at the Hotel Dupont.
