1776 Steakhouse

Always enjoy the food and service Tom and his team bring! My brother in law who is a Veteran (30 years in the Marines) was visiting and we knew 1776 was the place to take him.

We always have a wonderful experience at the 1776 Steak House. The servers are excellent, the food is fantastic. Our go to restaurant in the Rehoboth area.

We usually love this restaurant and have always had a wonderful experience. Our server was excellent. We were seated immediately. Our server brought drinks and bread in a timely manner. But the dinner took over an hour to be served. And the noise level made it impossible to carry on a conversation. So it was less than enjoyable for us. Our reservation is usually for 5:30 or 6:00. This reservation was at 7,. I think we will stick to the earlier dinner hour

This is my favorite restaurant in all the world. Great service, piano player, fire place with fire in the winter, roast beef (my favorite), and escargots among others. Waiters keep checking with you to see if you need anything and the piano player played Happy Birthday to me. Staff is just thoughful and caring. Can totally relax here.

The service and food was outstanding as always! The staff explains everything so well! There were 4 of us that went to celebrate my sister and brother in law anniversary. Tom , the owner even stopped by to say hi, he too is so nice as well and I'm impressed as always !

Service was excellent. The food was top notch. The Creme Brule cheesecake was to die for. I would highly recommend 1776 Steakhouse to anyone who wants a great meal and excellent service.

Great experience! The owner and staff couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. Food was excellent and presentation was lovely from appetizers to dessert, can't recommend it enough!

If you are looking for fantastic service and great food then 1776 is your place to go. I made a reservation a few days before and they had the table waiting for us as soon as we arrived. Anastasia was our server and did a fantastic job in taking care of us with drinks, along with making meal suggestions. The staff was also always checking our water and seeing if we needed other drink refills. They are know for their steaks, however their chicken and fish meals are also highly recommended to go along with the blackened ravioli. I would highly recommend trying 1776 for your next date night out as they are one of the top (if not the best) dinner restaurant in the Lewes / Rehoboth area

WOW, this place is GREAT! I would actually plan a trip back to Delaware just to go here for dinner! Great food, very attentive staff. food served in a timely fashion. Really the best.

I really hesitated to write this review. I really don't like giving a bad review. But, four of us went to dinner here a couple weeks ago. The server was excellent. She was very informative discussing the different ways to prepare our steaks (i.e. Chicago style, black & blue, etc..) . All four of us ordered our steaks medium rare and all four steaks were way over cooked. Im not a great cook but I can get grill a medium rare steak almost 100% of the time. This is the second time we were underwhelmed by the preparation of our steak. This place is definitely off our list. Sorry guys, you really have to get the basics right.

We stopped by while vacationing in Ocean City for my fiancé’s birthday. The restaurant was fully booked but they squeezed us in by the piano. Our server was fantastic but the food was even better! We all ordered the 1776 Filet dish with crabmeat. AMAZING! We met the owner and he gave us dessert on the house. We will definitely be back 👍

1776 Steakhouse is an absolute gem! The food was exceptional—perfectly cooked steaks, delicious sides, and a great wine selection. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Highly recommend! As well as highly recommend reservations!
