Went for our 30th wedding anniversary. Whole experience was fabulous from start to finish. The house special steak was incredible. Wait staff and the owner made multiple passes to make sure we had everything we needed. Great experience!!

Upon first entering we were a little iffy, it's part of a strip mall. The hostess was not at all friendly - but the rest of the staff is amazing. And the food was fantastic. Pictures are of the black ravioli and the porterhouse steak.

incredible experience. the service was helpful and friendly, it is obvious they make good customer service a priority. very romantic setting, with candles and a gentleman setting the mood with the piano. waitress was very sharp, she ran down the list of every special and even brought out a platter showcasing each steak on the menu. and wow, WHAT A STEAK! I got the 44oz Tomahawk special, I'm not even joking when I say it was the best I have ever had. everything was wonderful. Thank you 1776, you made a memory we will never forget.

Food was delicious and server was knowledgeable. Our server asked for our order and said she would space out appetizer and entrees. We had just taken the last bites of our appetizer and they served our meal. Would have liked some time between courses.
The reception staff welcomed us to the restaurant and got us settled in immediately. Kathy asked us if it was a first time and then gave us an opportunity to order drinks. The specials all sounded outstanding and we ordered one of them and were really pleased with the flavor and presentation. We were presented with a dessert offering since it was a birthday celebration. Bravo to all.

We were there for my husband's birthday with his sister and brother-in-law. I had the salmon, which was delicious and my husband had the Filet Mignon Trio, which he loved. Our waiter was attentive and on point. You can't go wrong at 1776!
1776 Steakhouse never disappoints! Paul, our server, was excellent. My wife had the Penne Vodka and said that it was as good as fine Italian restaurants. I had their signature dish “Steak 1776.” It was loaded with crab and the filet was tender and came medium rare as ordered. That dish, with a baked potato, was simply delicious! Chuck & Joanne Ward

2024.03.20 Tough steaks last night... We've enjoyed many excellent meals at 1776 over the years and it's a great special occasion restaurant! We went last night for a birthday dinner and started with an expertly made cocktail and a Spaten beer from their extensive beer list. We ordered the very tasty fried scallop chips with a delicious horseradish cream dipping sauce as a shared appetizer. Next up were two French onion soups. Our entrée choices were the 8-ounce filet mignon with baked potato and vegetables medley and the 14-ounce Delmonico ribeye with baked potato and asparagus. Both steaks were requested medium and both meals were perfectly prepared. Therese's service was outstanding. The only problem was that both steaks were unexpectedly tough to chew last night. We probably should have said something, but didn't. Hopefully, it was just a one-time thing.

Excellent food and service! We hadn’t been for about 20 years after eating there shortly after My father retired from the GPOin ‘99 andmoved from Olney, MD to the eastern shore. He passed on 1/15/24 and while down dealing with things, my wife and I decided to give 1776 a try again and it was better than I remember! Reservations required. Make them at least a week in advance! The house cheesecake was phenomenal!

I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday at 1776 Steakhouse. I had a great time. Staff was wonderful very friendly and efficient. When I originally set up my reservation I informed 1776 that I was looking forward to ordering the tomahawk steak because I have heard many great things about their tomahawk steak. I arrived at 1776 I received the specials for the evening, and when I was ordering, I was informed that they were out of the tomahawk steak. Ughh what a blow to my chest. I had set up the reservation many weeks in advance, and I was really looking forward to the dinner. I had to go with option B, which was the barrel cut.
