Had to sit at the bar because tables were full. Bartender was friendly and fabulous. Pizza and mozzarella appnwere delicious as well as the Salad.
Coming from NJ where choices of pizza are everywhere, we have now added Ava's to our Delaware list.

this place is pretty terrible — the definition of disappointing and overrated... especially the service — the bartender at the bar made us wait for like 40 to 45 minutes after telling us it would take about 20 minutes just to make a couple of pizzas and a salad. Maybe he was having a bad day or should have stayed at home...
I was with a group of four friends and we paid in two groups, but the bartender gave us an attitude when we tried to keep it that way — one of us had to pay the entire bill ..
PENNY WISE POUND FOOLISH: The bartender should’ve offered us drinks -- alcohol is cheap and it doesn't spoil -- it's how restaurants make their money. Had he been smart enough to do so I wouldn't be writing this review. It was a ridiculous wait and it wasn’t like they were that busy… incidentally, it was a Friday night in September so they should’ve had enough staff on hand if they are as good as they claim to be..
The Pizza was OK but nothing to write home about.. overall, it’s not the sort of place that seems to appreciate your business. A hard pass for me..

Tied for best Detroit-style pizza I've ever had. The Gelato made from scratch at the end was a perfect ending for my wife as well. Would highly recommend this place.
