My family and I are from out of town and we stopped here on the way back home and right away Lady was very lazy and rude, saying if we want drinks we can come see her , that should would not be waiting on us, needless to say we didn’t stay for food or drinks. My daughter who is well over the age of 21 did not have id and she definitely judged us as if we were trying to get over on her or something and threw us out immediately, you can tell this isn’t a friendly place, as soon as we walked in you could feel everyone staring at us like we didn’t belong. They definitely are not welcoming to outsiders. So if you’re visiting with family I wouldn’t recommend this spot.

Fun place with great environment inside and out for a casual hangout for dinner and drinks.

The atmosphere and customer service were perfection. We highly recommend you visit this beautiful spot where the ocean and the bay meet on the East Coast at the DE State Park. Went to big chill Cantina to find Shote Island food truck. Brandon the owner is such a positive vibe and great chef. I’ve been following Brandon and his food for years now. I loved the rib and Mac and cheese empanada and my partner who grew up in Puerto Rico had a little piece of home with the beef empanadas. Whatever the menu Brandon has always been an amazing chef.

Boring place to hangout with friends. Would be amazing if the playlist had a bit MORE R&B and Latino music. They play too much Pop and old rock music! :(

I think it’s absolutely INSANE to charge $10 at the concession stand for a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Smashed bread, cheese, and a burger. $5 for an iced coffee that tastes like they dropped ice in a hot pot. I love the atmosphere and being on the beach here, but the food is sub par, especially for the price.

Such a great place to be! It was like your own private oasis outside had a cool tiki vibe! Some cool games. Giant connect four and Giant jenga. We even got a Polaroid from the bartender!

Horrible place!!! Would not recommend! The staff is awful and treat women horribly! The bar is also nasty! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

I want to start this review by saying our server Anna was AMAZING but let me go backward, now. We called before we headed toward Big Chill and let them know we had a party of 9 we were told if we got there in the next 15 minutes there would be no wait. We got there in that time and was told a 20-25 minute wait. No big deal. We have never been here before so no idea where to go next. The hostess was not helpful with this. So we went up by the bar and sat at some empty bar height tables. After we sat at these tables for 20 minutes. A woman (50s-60s, hat with a very short gray/blonde ponytail) came up to us. She could have said hi! We have some people who need these tables. Instead VERY RUDELY said We need these “cocktail tables” for “guests” so you need to find somewhere else to go. We let her know we were waiting for a table and that the hostess never told us where we could wait. She then said well we need these for people “buying drinks”. So we got up and moved. Asked the hostess where to go and she let us k ow our table was ready. She then took us to our table. About a foot from where we were just seated. Anna was amazing. Food was good. Music decent. One member of our party did not get their food with the rest of us. We paid our combined over $200 bill (I guess that doesn’t make us guests) Did I mention that of all the cocktail tables only one was seated in the entirety of our visit. To make it even worse. This rude person who may have been a manager was standing next to an older female bar tender as we left literally watching us leaving and LAUGHING at us. I guess our money was no good since we didn’t buy alcohol. We had hoped to make this a regular stop on our annual vacation but unfortunately first impressions are EVERYTHING and this was not a good one.
