“Husband and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our birthdays at Shorebreak Lodge Restaurant this weekend. The restaurant decor is sophisticated and the seating is super comfortable. The owners Ben and Diane go over and above to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Their craft cocktails are the best! Always wanted to try octopus and this dish did not disappoint. Everything from appetizers to dinner was so delicious. Everyone we have recommended the restaurant to has gone there for dinner and they always tell us how great their experience was. We believe this restaurant to be one of the best restaurants in Sussex County Delaware. We highly recommend.“

“My son has Celiac disease and is a picky eater. We asked our waiter (who was excellent!) about ordering the shrimp skewers that could be added to the salad. He immediately said that they take allergies seriously and that a manager would be right over. The manager came to the table and asked about the allergy and what we were thinking of ordering and also offered all the other options that were gluten free. He explained how my son’s meal would be marked and handled and was fantastic. Our meals were wonderful and in 3 years of my son having celiac we have never experienced this level of genuine concern for his specific allergy and ensuring we knew how they would prepare his food. Bravo to exceptional customer service and food allergy awareness! Highly recommend for the food and the procedures they have when it comes to food allergies.“

Occasionally the service can be a bit slow depending on how full the restaurant is, however it’s well paced and the wait staff is professional and kind. The tuna app is phenomenal! Perfect crunch from the crispy rice and the flavor is explosive! We also love the dumplings and pork belly bao buns! Crab rangoons are great but you only get 4. The ambience alone transcends you and you forget you’re in DE! Every time we’re here we visit!“
