This place is absolutely amazing. It’s hidden a bit, but what a gem. The ambiance is great, our bartender and server were so charismatic and awesome. Our food was delicious! My mom and I both got the Malfada Alla Vodka with sweet sausage & meatball. The place is squeaky clean as well. You can really tell that they put a lot of work into this restaurant. Highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very cool Italian restaurant! We had the deep dish pizza, Caesar salad and a few glasses of wine. Laid back, and fun decor. We will be back for one of the “Daddy Dinners” because we were too stuffed for another entree!

Decided to go there since the place has the same owner as Houston White and Bramble and brine… was very disappointed. First of all-the atmosphere is more like a diner type, I didn’t feel cozy sitting there. At least 3 different employees approached us, so we were confused since we had our server. Maybe they wanted to seem caring but made an appearance that the staff is not trained enough. We ordered a cocktail (which was pretty good), pizza and two pastas. The crust was a little bit burnt but still we were satisfied. I put two stars for the pasta-after reading good reviews about pasta we ordered two and it was awful, seemed like the sauce came from the can and it was all reheated in the microwave. Moreover, we got sick so never coming back, and would definitely recommend to stay away from the place-they have a lot to improve

Excellent Italian food, especially for DE. Had the chicken Parm and shrimp scampi specials and they were excellent flavor and cooked perfectly. The cheesy garlic bread was outstanding for an appetizer.

It's been a long time since I had real pasta and meatballs like my grandmother made growing up in Pittsburg. Visiting relatives that live here they took us for dinner. I took half home to savour another day

We had a fabulous meal at Dalmata, a place we had strolled by so many times - so glad we decided to give it a try! Our party of seven was quoted a 35 minute wait time, and we were seated in about half an hour. My wife and I waited at the bar and had a drink, which was lovely, and our service was lovely and friendly all evening. The food was delicious - we had the cheesy garlic bread and the focaccia to start, and both were great. I went with the Daddy portion of the chicken parmesan, and it was terrific. Came with a side of the homemade mafalda marinara - even better with the leftovers for lunch the next day! My daughter loved her chicken pesto pizza, and everything everyone had was awesome. The decor and the vibe is awesome - the italian movie posters and colorful lights, the italian bruce lee posters in the bathroom, and the multiple TVs playing good flicks for the kids (Rio 2, Freaky Friday, Incredibles). The only thing was that our order took a long time, even orders from the bar. You know the food was delicious and wonderful when even with a seriously extra long wait for food, everyone left raving about the meal and excited about coming back next year. The server said they were having a printer issue and that's why stuff took so long. No worries, it happens, and man, was it worth it. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

Was looking forward to a good pizza and a drink.
Only people I saw were 3 kids. Don't even know if they should have been behind the bar.
We gave our drink orders.
It was weird. They were looking up how to make them on their phones. One of them was sniffing the bottle, the other tasted what was in the shot glass.
Maybe an adult called off?
Damn - I really wanted to try their pizza.

I'm sure it's good when they're not busy. The food was okay but the pizza we got was burnt to a crisp in some spots and somewhat undercooked in others (an oven was down, I get that). Service was awful and understaffed. Was told there was a twenty minute wait and I would receive a call ( I didn't). Returned 30 minutes later and nobody was attending the register. Had to wait another 15 minutes before I had to ask a random staff what was going on only to be told I would be seated when available. Eventually I found the young woman who was managing seating and she told me five more minutes and a table was clearing up. Supposedly my name was at the top of the waiting list for the last 20 minutes. I understood that but when groups of 3-6 would walk in and immediately be sat at the table I was just told was getting cleared for me I was a bit perturbed. I talked to another woman (waitress) and explained the issue, I was told I had to wait like everyone else. I reminded her that my name was at the top of the list (in plain view) and I had been waiting for well over an hour at that point just to be seated. She got upset and told me they were doing the best they could... So I asked why people are being given priority over me despite my name (party of 2) being at the top of the list. She got more upset and told me it was impossible that anyone was getting seated over me. while this happened another table I was told was being cleared for me the 2nd time was immediately seated by another group of 4? This made no sense and I got attitude despite remaining calm and polite. I get your busy and stressed but maybe have some people that know how customer service works at the register. The only reason I stayed was because I was honestly curious what the fuss was about. Talked with a woman there that was having the same issue, had a laugh at how crazy the restaurant was at the moment. Eventually, I was seated and the waitress (Meg) was very nice despite gossiping with the fussy woman from earlier in earshot. Didn't care I'm here for food not drama. took about 20 minutes to get my beer and another 15 to get the pizza, which with an oven down was decent timing. The ingredients seemed quality I really wish I could give this place another go but the service was unorganized at best and plain rude at its worst. Possible discrimination (seemed very surprised when I tipped almost 30%) ? no clue but I would not recommend this place to anyone and hope they're able to find some better staff in the future. This place has great potential.

The food sounded and looked very good, but was quite disappointing in fact:
1. The Antipasto salad had so much vinegar in it that it burned terribly in the mouth. After just a spoonful I had to wash my mouth very thoroughly, because it was literally burning of vinegar in the dressing. The server was really kind and understanding, so she requested another salad for me with dressing on side. That was much much better.
2. Carbonara seemed to be done in a traditional way. The sauce lacked the signature silkiness though (it looked as if there was flour in it), very few guanciale and, the worst, extremely salty. I had to drink half a gallon of water to quench my thirst afterwards. The homemade pasta itself was very good though.

Ambiance is very nice though. Service is, although slow, very friendly and accommodating.
