If you’re coming to Dogfish just for the beer, you’re doing it right… but also missing the secret ingredient that makes this place next-level: Steve.
Yes, the beer is excellent. Everyone knows that. It’s basically a fact of life, like gravity or your dog loving bacon. But let me tell you about Steve.
Picture this: dead of winter, every other place in town acting like we were asking to bring in a live bear when we showed up with our pup. Doors shut. Spirits low. And then—like some bearded beer-slinging Saint Bernard—Steve came through.
He welcomed us and our dog with open arms and a setup so cozy I half expected him to bring us hot cocoa and read us a bedtime story. The man orchestrated the scene like a hospitality maestro. We left full, warm, and slightly in love (with Steve, obviously).
Fast forward to early summer—we stroll in, no expectations, and boom. Steve’s back. Still awesome. Still crushing it with the kindness, the attentiveness, the low-key “I got you” vibes.
Moral of the story: come for the beer, stay for Steve. Or just admit he’s the real Dogfish legend.
Service was great, and food pretty good. Good portions.
Visited early May '25, truly the definition of an excellent brewpub. Lovely, hardworking staff. Delicious food. A huge variety of yummy craft beers. All in a great space.
Food and service was great. Olivia was great
Parents with small children, this review is for you. We were turned away before we could even sit down to lunch. We came in, with our sleeping daughter in her stroller and were told they don’t allow strollers at all, even on the patio. I told them I wasn’t about to wake her and the hostess acted as if she could care less. Seems absurd. Walked down the street to Summer House and were greeted with open arms.
I had the most phenomenal turkey burger topped with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and pesto aioli with their homemade coleslaw and a delicious mango/pineapple pale ale on tap. Rob the bartender was so friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was excellent. I also loved the restaurant decor, pictures, and music. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for a great afternoon.
Great food great service. The pizza was really good and the cheesecake.
We love coming and sitting in the barrels.
Dogfish is awesome! Best IPAs on the east coast without a question. The food is also awesome. Service was great too. Not only in the restaurants but also in the gift shop.
Not worth it. Weird vibe and host Nancy was unwelcoming. Beer is average. Can’t speak for the food.

Always a great experience!! Good food & service!
Fish and chips still had raw batter and fries were soggy not crispy. Beers were great. Wings could have used a few more minutes as well in the fryer. Pizza was the best thing prob because it s wood fired!
Best seafood restaurant I have been, very nice people working here.
A staple of Rehoboth. Food is really good besides some small critics like soggy croutons and gritty mac n cheese. Will be returning .
Beers are good and good as well. Good quality and quantity for the price.
The atmosphere was okay - nothing much attractive
We have not been welcome very well and seemed too complicated for the waitress to move the tab from the bar to a table. Not happy about the service.
