Just walking by they have horrible Halloween decorations jumping out at everyone and scaring all the kids who walked by. This needs to be removed it’s terrible. You won’t receive my business unless you change that. I don’t want to be rude but it’s very bad business practice to scare kids who are walking by your store.

We had First State Corn & More cater our Rehersal Dinner of about 60 people. We had chicken, carnitas, and steak tacos with awesome sauces, street corn, wings, and cheesecake cups w/ toppings. Everything was fresh and delicious and service provided by Kathryn and her daughter was fantastic and friendly. We’ll definitely be recommending them to friends for future events, and we look forward to visiting again at their nice new storefront right in Rehoboth. Bonus points for their Halloween decorations.

Fabulous, authentic food, everything hand made by them including the bread and the hamburger made from ground brisket. Staff, and Catherine (an owner along with her husband, the chef), are very personable and knowledge about the food. Best Cuban sandwich (on Cuban bread they made) I have had since I was in the Florida Keys. Looking forward to the opening of their new 150-table restaurant near Mid-Way Movie theater in December!

I was drawn to this place when searching around for lunch on google maps because of the pics of fried plantains, rice and beans, and pork… unfortunately I was told this food is not available until they open their restaurant (in December??), so I tried the Cuban and the First State Bowl. Both dishes were super fresh and absolutely delicious! I saw that they had won best of DE and it was for the Cuban so it’s a must order. The First State bowl comes with tons of their signature creamy corn jawn on the bottom and it’s topped with lettuce tomatoes and pulled pork. I highly recommend this inconspicuous joint and I look forward to visiting them again when I can get the plantains, rice, etc. ?

Solid three stars A-Okay. Was warned about the waits and I was ready. On an August Sunday, it wasn't that bad, but there was a wait. Mexican Style Street Corn in a cup and a lemonade for lunch? Yes, please. I feel like First State needs to employ that "It's Corn!" kid, or is he already in college, by now? "First State- IT'S CORN!"

The first state bowl is immaculate. Its basically like getting a taco salad in a bowl almost. It's amazing please try it when you can!!!

The Mexican corn on the cob was delicious! The food here is made to order so you have to wait a bit longer for your food but it is worth it. The prices are decent. I also got these lemon and pepper wings that were VERY VERY TASTY and crispy. Tasted fresh and seasoned very very well. I would come back. My only criticism would be that they should offer some seating in the shade as it can get really got waiting for your food.

Got the bleu cheese corn on the cob and Mexican corn on the cob. The bleu cheese one was good, but the Mexican one tasted like it was made with Parmesan cheese. Overall, pretty good corn.

The manager had terrible customer service. Waited over 30 mins for a regular funnel cake. Someone who ordered after me, received their funnel cake. They ordered a specialty funnel cake. How does a specialty funnel cake come out before a regular funnel cake? I asked to speak with Pat. She had an attitude that I asked to speak with her. Then she blamed the wait on everyone but her. "They were behind because the people taking the orders were new." ,"The girl over flowed the grease", etc. Pat literally argued with us. Since she was arguing, I asked for my money back. She gave the money back, then took the funnel cake back after it was already giving to me. Then she said "it wasn't that serious". Customer service is serious. If you're looking for funnel cakes on the board walk, look somewhere besides First State Corn & More.

Great place. Corn is awesome. You can either get it on the cob or in a cup. Lots of options to pick from for flavors
