This place is a perfect date spot, the staff was very kind and polite. Out waitress Kelly was very nice and on top of things. The food was amazing the setting was perfect. I want to say thank you so much to Kevin for being so thoughtful to me and my girlfriend. It was much appreciated and we will be back definitely!! I highly recommend getting a steak and getting their Brussels sprouts. The crab cake from here was probably the best crab cake I’ve ever had.

This was our first experience at Houston White Co. We were celebrating an anniversary and decided to splurge, having read many great reviews. The only seating options were a table in a small, empty dining room, or a table in the main dining room next to the kitchen, which we chose because we wanted the full experience. A 'Happy Anniversary' table sign, and a complimentary taste of champagne were a nice touch. Although the staff was friendly, there were many hiccups in service. After ordering, our water glasses needed refilling. After 10 minutes we flagged down our server, and it took another 5 minutes. The tables are small and tightly packed...intimate, but not overly claustrophobic. The wine list is 11x17, and there is no room to set it on the table. I finally had to hand it to someone. The garlic cheddar biscuits and shrimp cargo appetizer were outstanding. After the appetizer, my dinner companion went to the restroom. Just after leaving, the entrees were served. Because of the intimacy, I was reluctant to send them back; I shouldn't have had to. It was almost 10 minutes before we started eating; the presentation was ruined. The NY strip special was served sliced. The 1st bite was inedible. NY strip can be chewier, so I gave it a 2nd try, with the same results. The staff offered me another option; a sizzling hot, tender filet was served in minutes while my companion waited to eat. The staff was apologetic, but there was no offering of anything complementary. At $20, the Caesar salad was nothing special, and at $16, the side of baby broccoli could have been more than 5 or 6 stalks. We declined having dessert. Upon our departure, our server looked me in the eye, apologized and thanked me, but said nothing to my companion who paid the check. This seemed inappropriate and rude. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and far less of a splurge than we hoped for. With such a pricey menu, the service MUST equal or exceed the quality of the food.
Took our daughter and her finance to dinner to celebrate their engagement. Everything was perfect. The poached lobster was incredible and the guys got the filet and ribeye which they loved. My husband raved about the Brussels sprouts and yes, we had to get a second basket of the biscuits. The service was impeccable and the champagne toast was a really nice touch. Love this place!!!
The staff was especially accommodating and friendly as we celebrated 8 years together at Houston White tonight with a complimentary toast of delicious champagne. It was a lovely place, a house made into a one floor restaurant more lively than the typical dark, traditional steakhouse. The drinks we ordered missed the mark - manhattan not balanced, too strong not ice cold the way it’s supposed to be while the bourbon old fashioned had crushed ice, not a large ice cube as expected, also not balanced. U 4 shrimp - total 3 pieces- with lump crab was fantastic. Caesar salad was light and tasty. We split twin lobster tails and the strip steak. Lobster tails were small for shell size but good. There was no char or taste on the strip steak. Neither of us liked it and we love steakhouses. The creamed spinach was too salty, had to be heated up, and not creamy. The loaded potato was inedible. With tip, this cost $300. I feel bad because we really wanted to like this place, the spot was nice, the people were lovely, but this was a bummer.

It was the day before Christmas Eve and I had reservations at other restaurants that I cancelled, and then made reservations to come here instead. When we arrived there were maybe 2 or 3 tables that were eating and there were quite a few tables still open. The host greeted us and then sat us directly in front of the door. I am not sure why you'd seat a reservation or anyone directly in front of the door if there were other seats available. (We were dressed nicely- not in pj pants like others). Nonetheless, I asked to be moved and the host told me that there were other reservations and that we'd have to stay where we were sitting. Luckily, I made eye contact with a server who then moved us in the next room behind the hostess stand (it wasn't until a half hour later where the restaurant truly got busy).
After the whole seating situation, we ordered our food which was the crab and lobster cocktail, which was super fresh and presented nicely. Then, we ordered a Ribeye with Blue Cheese- holy cow, it was DELICIOUS. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and it could have been cut with a butter knife...so tender! We also ordered the mashed potatoes, which were a dream- so fluffy and smooth. Overall, we enjoyed the food greatly, but definitely feeling a certain way when we left.

It was my girlfriend birthday and they made it very special. Candle and Happy Birthday cake topper in the dessert. It was a great night with great food! Thank you!
Everything was amazing!! Service was phenomenal!! Drinks and food were amazing!! I only wished I had ordered some of the biscuits to go!! We will definitely be back!!
Houston White is and has always been a favorite for our family. It has always been a safe place for our boys to eat as they have peanut allergies. They absolutely loved their fries and biscuits. Unfortunately, they did recently change the oil for their fries to Peanut oil so no longer able to bring our kids. We will still look forward to coming for adult nights.
Our server was amazing and the food was delicious. One of my favorite dining experiences ever! Highly recommend.

What a great NYE dinner! That's a tough night for any restaurant and both food and service were excellent.

Place is very small, tables are on top of each other. Food was not good, husband had tuna, was raw. Service was bad, no one was attentive at all. She even forgot to bring a drink of water. Prices were high, food was not good.
This is a charming steak house with quiet sophisticated atmosphere. The service is attentive although the entree’s took longer the expected but to be honest the wait was worth it. The Delmonico ribeye was exquisite and the sushi grade tuna melted in my mouth. It’s a bit pricey but probably the best meal we’ve had in Rehoboth.

Great meal, perfectly cooked steak and lovely atmosphere. Service was impeccable and we will be back. Very nice dinner and experience.
A wonderful evening from start to finish. The quintessential steak house experience with an eye for details that made going out to dinner a special experience. Excellent service. Delicious, generous, and beautiful dishes. Curated ambiance and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a new favorite!
