Ordered beef carpaccio, it looked great but was so salty, I had to send it back, and of course, it came out not salty enough. Oysters Rockefeller had an odd presentation. They baked the oysters (plain) first and then loaded the top with a pound of spinach and the hollandaise. There was bacon in it, too, which I didn't like. It was as if they were trying to cover up old oysters. My friend, who is in the business, said the filet was not the stated weight, not to mention it was overcooked. When you pay a lot of money, you expect things to be perfect. The staff was very accommodating.

Houston White came highly recommended by a sales rep at local builder Schell Brothers. As someone who loves to support locally owned and operated businesses, I was eager to give it a try. Nestled in the heart of Rehoboth Beach’s downtown shopping and dining area, this small gem boasts a beautiful dining space and a quaint bar.

We started with the cheddar bread, which was so good we took home what we didn't eat. The craft gin cocktails were balanced and perfectly flavored, setting the tone for a delightful culinary experience. I started with a bowl of potato soup, which was packed with flavor yet not too heavy—perfect for a cold, rainy February day. This was followed by the Caesar salad, a known specialty. The greens were fresh, and the dressing struck the perfect balance of flavor and consistency without overwhelming the salad.

For the main course, I enjoyed a 6oz filet mignon with au poivre sauce. The steak melted in my mouth, and the sauce added an extra layer of enjoyment. My wife ordered the mushroom risotto, which was wine-based and darker than she expected. If you prefer a white-sauce risotto, you might want to choose something else. However, the risotto was perfectly cooked, showcasing the chef’s expertise.

I look forward to returning to this small business when I visit Rehoboth Beach again, hopefully on a warm day when I can stroll around after a fine meal and enjoy the local shops. I highly recommend patronizing this local gem and supporting local businesses. You’ll be glad you did.

We read many good reviews about this restaurant and decided to finally try it on Valentine’s Day, but unfortunately didn’t have a very good experience. It started with having a difficult time finding a parking space. When entering the restaurant it initially appeared to have a nice ambience, however we were seated in an area with tables on either side of us spaced less than 2 feet apart, so there was no privacy or intimacy whatsoever. Regarding the food, everything is à la carte and expensive. The bread served prior to our meal is not what you would expect from a high end Steak House, but rather a cheesy, salty biscuit and not very good. We ordered salads to start, a Caesar salad, which was wilted and had little taste and a Bibb salad that was good. We both ordered steak entrées, an 8 ounce fillet that was overcooked limiting its flavor and a 12 ounce ribeye, which was properly cooked, but a bit fatty. We ended up sharing one dessert, which was a chocolate mousse cake and very good. It was the star of our dinner and without the dessert we would’ve rated our experience as one star. The only thing high end about our overall Dinner experience was the pricing.

Upscale steakhouse, right up my alley. Tried most, if not all, the steak options, and loved them all. Sides great too. Service great. Ambiance just ok, kinda plain jane really. The older gent at the bar is a hoot!

Perfect in every way!

This place is lights out. I mean the way the steak was cooked, seasoned, and cut. The flavors, the juices, the sides, everything, just perfect, absolutely perfect. Service was on point. Highly recommend.

Website says short ribs are $27 and yet restaurant menu says $50. Side dishes very expensive. Cosmos and wine very good. For a upscale restaurant portions should have been larger and have at least one side dishe with a $48 steak
