Ashley is such a friendly, attentive, and warm server. The food was delicious, as usual, and the atmosphere was so cosy. Jam always make you feel at home.

The most quaint and wonderful restaurant!
The staff was attentive and they sweetly celebrated my birthday. The food was so delicious and I will be craving the salmon dish until I return!

Enjoyed the casual, beach, neighborhood and friendly upstairs bar. Excellent service from female blond bartender. Delicious upscale food in a relaxed setting - roasted beet salad and side veggies so so good. Mellow music. Went early off season and not crowded. Very generous g&t. Only one suggestion - use glass instead of plastic glasses although I get it, being an outdoor deck setting.

We sat upstairs in outdoor dining and had a reservation for 7. A few of us are local to the area. Loved sitting outdoors at a long table. Drink service was a bit slow and food service was incredibly slow. Not sure what took so long as it was after labor day and not busy. It was nice of the chef to visit the table. Food had good flavors with large portions. Cozy and quaint atmosphere. Bathrooms are dark and scary and up a few steep set of stairs.

Our table got the short ribs which you get 2 pieces one was good and the other was all fat. This happened one other time this past summer. We tried to give them a second try but this is our last visit.

We came in tonight, party of 6 - my husband, 2 teenage daughters and my parents. The staff was so incredibly nice - everyone from the bartender to the servers to the assistants. Chef Tracy stopped by our table twice to chat. The food was delicious and the entrees are big. The pace was perfect, we were out for a nice meal and that's exactly what it was. Our family owns a restaurant on LBI in NJ so we really take notice of the extra touches. It was very evident that everyone at Jam really cared about what they were serving and how we were feeling about the experience. Thank you so much for a really great evening, we will be back!

I ate a Jam a couple years back when they were still on Baltimore Ave. I really enjoyed it and wanted to return so finally did. I was confused, because now they were on second street so I thought my memory was failing me. Turns out they moved to a different location. I'm so torn by this place... The service... While they seemed attentive, no one seemed to know who was on first... At least 3 times did the servers come with another tables drinks, then another time with another tables food. I watched the staff do this repeatedly while we waited for our food, that I'm pretty sure our waiter forgot to put the order in. We waited for a long time for our food but when it came it was great! I had the shrimp and grits, one of the best I ever had. My aunt had the shrimp pasta primavera and she said it was amazing. Once again the staff was trying to do a good job, maybe management needs to do a better job at training. We were afraid to order dessert or more drinks because we didn't want to spend the night there. It's a shame... Lots of potential here.

Jam Bistro has long been a favorite of ours in Rehoboth, both in its previous and current locations. However, our recent experience on a Friday night was deeply disappointing.
The restaurant was bustling, and it was clear from the outset that the staff was overwhelmed. We waited 50 minutes for our first course, which was annoying but not the primary issue. The real letdown was the noticeable lack of attention to detail in the preparation of our dishes.
For example, my boneless pork chop was supposed to be served with broccolini, but it came with broccoli instead. While this may seem minor, I dislike broccoli and found it particularly unappetizing when it was undercooked. More importantly, I would have appreciated being informed about this substitution; I would have preferred to be asked if the change was acceptable rather than being surprised by it. It felt dismissive, as if the restaurant assumed I wouldn’t notice or care.
My partner’s meal was even more disappointing. He ordered his usual dish, the braised beef short ribs, but this time, it was served with a pale gravy that was likely poultry-based, rather than the rich, dark jus he has enjoyed in the past. We considered sending the dish back, but given the already chaotic service, we chose not to endure another long wait.
Despite these issues, we plan to return to Jam Bistro. We hope that by then, they will have addressed these shortcomings and taken steps to improve their diners’ experience.

We’ve been regulars at Jam in 2024, but are re-thinking this after our experience last night. When we arrived for dinner (with reservations) last night the restaurant was clearly in a state of chaos. It was mobbed, with no one at the host stand and servers running in all different directions.

We were seated in the dining room, where we were swarmed by fruit flies for the entire visit. And, it was a LONG visit. After initially receiving the wrong drink order, we waited for over an hour for a beet salad to come out. During this time, we watched ongoing chaos unfold all around us. Many of the parties had clearly been sitting there a long time, and children on both sides of us were melting down. Our entrees arrived exactly four minutes after the salad. The random server brought them out did not acknowledge (or seem to notice) the poor timing.

I ordered the short ribs. It’s a meal that I’ve had at Jam many times and typically enjoyed. In this occasion, it was just plain bad. The boneless ribs were served inexplicably with a chicken gravy. I guess i wasn’t to notice?? I thought momentarily about sending it back, but a strong desire to leave the madness kicked in. We ate as quickly as possible, paid the check, and left.

In thinking about the experience this morning, I remembered something that made it all the more galling. When we arrived, and stood at the empty host stand, the people next to us were talking about just getting a table. They did not have a reservation. They walked into a restaurant that was in full meltdown, and the staff decided to squeeze them in. Does that sound like management that cares about providing customers with a positive experience? OR, management maximizing profits at their customers’ expense?

Recently visited Jam after a few prior positive experiences. Unfortunately this visit was disappointing all around. The servers were inattentive and seemed untrained. The atmosphere wasn’t great as there were numerous tables of people sending food back and leaving with full entrees on their plates (we should have taken this as a sign). We waited around 45 minutes for our food to be delivered, which then happened to be cold. The burger was so salty it was almost inedible, and the Beet salad was a strange concoction of mush that we just couldn’t eat. The rest of the entrees were just ok. It seems like this place has really gone down hill, and with so many other options in the area, it will be a long time before we think about trying it again.

Overall we were disappointed in the food quality of Jam. We ordered crab cakes, grouper special and ribeye special. Overall most of the food was bland and lacked any real complexity or flavor profiles. The scalloped potatoes were the highlight of all the dishes. We had high expectations and the ambiance and cocktails were great. Service was also good. The food was just OK.

Was very disappointed, we ate here last year and it was great so we took my brother and sister in law here for vacation. We raved about the food and it was not good at all tonight. We got the chicken nachos for an appetizer and felt like we were eating a plate of hot wings because the chicken was drenched in Buffalo sauce which we were not expecting. All of of meals came out at different times. The short ribs were luke warm and my brother and I were both not feeling well after we ate them. My sister in laws Shrimp and Grits were ice cold. We had to send it back, and they forgot to even bring my husband's dinner out. He got the Grouper and by the time they brought it out they had to cook it so quick it had no flavor and was slimy. Would no go back.

Had high hopes, but meals were sub par. Fish undercooked, tiny crab cakes, beet salad not as pictured at all. Service was great!

We were a table of six for dinner and all of our meals were mediocre. The tomato bisque was overwhelmingly peppery, and when we asked for it to be brought back it appeared as though cream and cheese were added, to little effect to improve the dish. Several of us at the table who like spicy food tried it and agreed it was overwhelmingly peppery.

One of us ordered a steak medium rare and it was not seared at all, and very under-seasoned. I ordered the sriracha buffalo chicken wings, and they were all undercooked, with no crispiness on the skin, and shockingly, the sauce was entirely flavorless. At least the Caesar salad I ordered was decent.

This used to be one of our favourite restaurants in Rehoboth Beach and I'm sad to say we were very disappointed and are unlikely to go back next year.
