LaFable a smal French restaurant was a fabulous way to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. From the time we walked in the hostess wished us a happy anniversary and present us with a nice card signed by the staff. Our waiter came over with a complimentary champagne toast and we felt so special and welcomed. We ordered drinks and our server I think his name was Nick told us about the specials for the evening. My wife and I ordered a LaFable mixed green salad to share which was served on separate plates which were as outstanding. For dinner my wife ordered the duck and I order the 12oz NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was over the top. We each took a taste of each others entree and were not disappointed. With dinner my wife enjoyed a glass of Cabernet. Dessert was a special tart with chocolate and a raspberry sauce which we shared and my enjoyed her espresso. The service was top notch throughout the night and we were never rushed and enjoyed our anniversary. This was well worth the 50 minute drive to Rohoboth Beach from where we lived and is 1 of the finest restaurants we have ever eaten in.
Excellent meal, excellent service and the ambiance is lovely! My husband and I both had the French Onion Soup which was wonderful, followed by the cote de porc and the beef bourguignon. Highly recommended.
This might be our favorite restaurant at the beach. The food is always superb and perfectly done, the service friendly— you feel welcomed and cared for. Always a great evening.
Every course was fantastic with service and atmosphere to match. Highly recommend when looking for a great dinner in Rehoboth.
We are always welcomed by the team of Anya, Tonya, Peter, Nicholas and Bodin and made to feel like family every visit to La Fable. The service is impeccable, cocktails and cocktails are perfect, special meals are created by chef for our vegetarian son, and food is well-prepared and beautifully presented. French classics as well as seasonal specials. Every occasion is a special occasion at La Fable!
Food is always good and we've been numerous times in the past 4 years. However it seems the duck breast at $50 has become more like half a duck breast portion.
This was first time at La Fable - a terrible miss on out part. The foie gras was perfection, nice serving size, smooth melt-in-your-mouth. The coquille st Jacque was great, as were the rack of lamb and the pork chops. Service was exquisite, extremely attentive but not “in-your-face”. Overall, we will be back!!
The staff were very professional. Food was great! My husband and I really loved the seafood soup. Everything done very well.
From our warm welcome from Nick, Tonia, and Peter and being seated at our favorite table it was such an enjoyable evening! I had the French Onion Soup and my Husband chose the Seafood Veloute to start. I ordered the Bone in Pork chop over mushroom risotto and asparagus. I was caught chewing on the bones, it was that good! My husband ordered the Duck Confit and was equally enamored with his entree'. Chef Benji came out to inquire about our entrees and we so enjoyed the exchange with him.
Stopped in pre theatre last evening for a drink and dessert. One of the best espresso martinis I’ve had at the beach, paired with a lemon meringue citrus tart ( enough for two!) We look forward to returning!!

We absolutely love La Fable. We go there for special occasions because it is expensive, though worth every penny. It's more special because we save it for those occasions. The food is divine, and the service is some of the best we've ever had anywhere. And it's consistent, never lets us down. I had an impeccable grey goose, icy cold with a twist. The wine was fabulous, and Tonia, our server, was great at pouring, a little at a time, so it stayed cold and lasted. I can't speak more highly of a very special place.
As always, we had a great dinner tonight. Nick takes such good care of us. The wild mushroom soup special was awesome, as was the baby pork shoulder. And dare I mention the wonderful cocktails?!
Outstanding service, food, and drinks as always. Brought four friends for their first French experience and everyone loved it. This will continue to stand as one of my favorite restaurants.
The halibut was the best I've ever had. The Seasonings were excellent & the sides were a perfect match. We live at the beach, so know what is good.
