My family and I recently enjoyed our annual end-of-summer dinner with my and it was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the evening at Michy’s was a true delight. We began with a few cocktails, my mother especially enjoyed the El Dorado Old Fashioned and the Violet Margarita, both crafted beautifully. For starters, we shared the Firecracker Shrimp, Calamari, and Bok Choy, each dish offering fresh flavors and perfect execution. For our mains, we chose the Scottish Salmon, Braised Short Ribs, and the Filet Special, which my father thoroughly enjoyed. Every entrée was flavorful, well-portioned, and thoughtfully prepared. To end the meal, we indulged in the Key Lime Pie and Bread Pudding, both desserts were rich, balanced, and the perfect sweet finish. Our server, Mark, was outstanding, polite, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Michy’s consistently delivers on quality and atmosphere, and this visit was no exception. I look forward to returning again soon

Phenomenal place. Truly spectacular food and awesome service (thanks Jess!). Don't let the strip mall location fool you - it's really charming both inside and on the patio, which is dog friendly. Highly recommend the firecracker shrimp (generous portion) and filet of beef tenderloin special. Oh and the bread pudding - it's so perfectly fluffy! Great wine list too.

A second night in a row of phenomenal food and drinks at this quirky decorated restaurant in an odd shopping center in south Rehoboth.
Great vibe of patrons (and convincing to move here!) while enjoying a fabulous, potent violet margarita first night and my new favorite French Poully Fuisse bottle of wine.
Scallops and salad with fresh peaches first night, and tuna with red curry and cilantro day 2. Awesome food and dessert of coconut cake.
Will be returning for my birthday in late September.

Can’t say it was relaxing. Nosey and crowded. First seated inside we moved outside so we could talk. Food was ok but we didn’t think it was worth the prices. Also I ended up getting a different fish than I ordered and my husband said he didn’t think his short ribs were short ribs but beef stew. Moved to Rehoboth recently. Will not be going to Michy’s again.
Prices match the excellent quality!

Travel days are always a bit hectic and harried, and our arrival to Rehoboth Beach was compounded by the extreme traffic that high season in July brings. But our experience at Michy’s Relaxed Dining last autumn was so extraordinary that I was confident that we would settle right into the beach vacation groove. Michy’s, on the basis of one dining experience, had already climbed the ranks of favorite restaurants in Rehoboth: could they replicate that experience and my high expectations?
Indeed they could.
We were immediately in that relaxed vibe as we settled into a pair of drinks (the Bond-Tini for my dear wife, with Grey Goose and blue cheese olives, and a refreshing gin concoction called the pink flamingo for me). Our server, Jess, was beyond excellent, enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the menu, and a joy to interact with. She was attentive throughout dinner without being intrusive, and made sure that appetizers, drinks, and entrees were all delivered with perfect timing.
We started with the halibut ceviche special and firecracker shrimp appetizer. Halibut is an unusual ceviche selection, but it worked exceptionally well, with a spicy, tangy marinade, and a bed of shredded Napa cabbage. The firecracker shrimp is similar to a well-known and often-copied spicy, creamy shrimp appetizer, with A+ execution, elevated by scallions, lime, and crushed peanuts. The calamari is the best we’ve ever had, but the firecracker shrimp drew raves.
DW opted for the day boat scallops, the entree she ordered last year, served with shiitake, oyster, cremini mushrooms, pea risotto, shaved parmesan cheese, Italian parsley, basil, and truffle oil. The scallops were so fresh they tasted like sweet summer corn, and were fork-tender. The accompaniments were impressive in complimenting the scallops, and in the balance and creativity of flavors.
A newer menu addition is the cod, which was served over rice with a sweet chili garlic sauce, shaved greens, and bacon. Every bite was a delight, and the combination of everything on one forkful was revelatory. The chef ensures that seasoning is tight and never under, and my only minor quibble of the evening was that a few bites were perhaps over-salted. Don’t let that stop you from ordering this, though, it was nearly perfect.
It’s difficult to explain the dance of flavor that comes from these simple yet thoughtful flavor combinations, and the preparation and execution of every dish is perfect. The open kitchen concept reveals a cooking staff that purrs with well-oiled communication, and the chef and co-owner Richard Davis is a calm presence overseeing everything that comes out to the floor.
Jess suggested a delicious Marlborough sauvignon blanc from Squealing Pig winery, and we were sadly too full to sample dessert. But our first night in Rehoboth had an auspicious start, and was going to set the bar high: in fact, after a week of excellent dining, I would give Michy’s the gold for best meal of the week, and they are cemented as one of, if not the very best dining destination.

This restaurant is definitely for a certain group of people I will not specify which group, but as soon as you walk in, you will know. Take that as you will, the Entrée I chose was pretty good rigatoni bolognese however, my girlfriend selected the horseradish crusted salmon. It was not pleasant. It was not edible. We requested a server to come and swap out the entrée she had chosen for a different one. he then brought my gf a menu and she selected The forever braised short ribs which was much better than the salmon. The service being provided to us during this entire time at this restaurant was not a 10 out of 10 and it was not the best service I’ve ever had. It wasn’t a service that was worthy of a tip. Now, when it came time for the check we paid and we did not leave a tip because the service was not worthy of a tip so when we were exiting out of the restaurant, we were then chased out by another server who was not our server And asked us why we did not tip. My girlfriend then asked is it mandatory she then proceeded to say “well we don’t get paid hourly” followed by a sob story. That is not appropriate nor acceptable from any establishment. So I highly advise you to read this whole entire review before you even think about stepping foot into this restaurant have a lovely day, evening and or night

The food was nasty. The food was un edible. I got the salmon with horseradish, and it was not good.
I asked for something different and it was the forever short ribs. it was better than a salmon, but it still wasn’t to my liking. What really shocked me was a waiter who wasn’t our server chased us outside for a tip and when I asked if it was mandatory, she just gave me a sob story on why she needed a tip. and I want to remind anyone who is reading this review tips are not mandatory tips are given based off the service that is provided to you at whatever restaurant you go to. Even if that service was a 10 out of 10 tips are still not mandatory , at this specific location the service was a zero out of 10, but unfortunately, I have to say one on this website if a server is chasing me out of a building to request and damn near demand a tip. You do not need to be a server.

The last several times we have been there and ordered our favorite dishwasher bolognaise.
It was a huge disappointment. It was more like a soup.
Not sure what changed

What an experience. Superb food, wine and service. We were recommended to visit this restaurant on the basis that everything about the place was excellent! We decided to pay them a visit, thinking nothing could be as good as suggested. I can only say I was forced to eat my words, along with the amazing food.
The owner and his excellent team, certainly know their craft.
I have experienced fine dining across many continents, and this is certainly at the top of the table.
My only disappointment, is that we were only visiting!!🤦🏻♂️
