we've been having problems with no servers being assigned to us until we finally go to front desk. also I don't like the new process where the server sticks a screen in front of you to pay without giving you a receipt in advance so you can check. They repeatedly forget to change the price on happy hour items when we go there. Just be on guard and you'll be fine. Everyone who works there is super nice, and the food is great.

In a town like Rehoboth Beach DE where the legendary Grotto Pizza, that has been serving pies since the 1960s, it takes a bit of chutzpah to open up a pizza restaurants right under their nose(s) (three locations in the heart of town) but Ava has done that and it looks like she is succeeding nicely! To be 100% transparent, I did not order the pizza but my table was smack dab within spitting distance of the wood oven and I saw the pies flying out of there and being whisked to the tables. I byself opted for the rigatoni with a Bolognese sauce and it was delicious - a big plate full of meaty sauce and not "ragu red" but a lovely creamy orangy tomato and cream sauce. With the entree I had a "dirty martini" which was full to the brim with tasty olives. The rigatoni was $23 and the cocktail $15. My server was very cheerful and efficient; she had a tall trainee in tow that evening who was equally accommodating. My only caveat to this 5-star review is that I had to ask for Parmesan, which came right away, but a diner shouldn't have to do that when ordering pasta in a nice place. The restaurant occupies a large space on the corner of Baltimore Avenue and 1st street and the tables are well space. It also looked like a lively bar scene and the bar was long.

Most enjoyable meal we had in Rohoboth. Noise level was moderate on a Sunday nite. Wait staff were attentive. Food was good. Meatball appetizer was fantastic. Margarita pizza was tasty, great crust, could have had more cheese, but still good. Wife had grilled chicken with arugula. She enjoyed it. Definitely going back on our next visit to Rohoboth.

Have been to Ava's many times. Food is consistent. But this visit it seems that maybe they forgot to make one of our pizzas because she had our starter and it was over 30 minutes before we got our pizza. There was no explanation given. I realize it was a Friday and was busy, but several tables that sat and ordered after us received their pizzas, so I can only assume that the order was messed up or missed. Once we did finally get it, it was good

Ava's is a nice place for us to catch-up with friends. The food is good, reasonably priced and the service is always good. This time we had Treasure as our server, and she lived up to her name. Also, we enjoy the generous benefits of your reward club! We'll be back.

We had been to Ava's before and always enjoyed. This is the first time we brought a group of friends with us and everyone raved about their meals. There really is something for everyone. And we tried everything from appetizers, salads, entrées, pizza and dessert. We will be back again.

Sat us next to the pizza station which was super hot. But it also allowed us to see our pasta dishes sit there for 10 - 12 minutes waiting for one persons pizza to be finished. Food came out lukewarm. Waitress offered to redo the pasta dishes but we were starving and unwilling to wait for it to be prepared again. Would have been delicious otherwise. Meatballs are amazing. Taylor was an excellent server.

Cesar salad, meatball sliders and pizza were excellent. Chicken in the chicken parm entree was somewhat dry! Sauvignon Blanc was excellent as well! Gavin our server was efficient and personable. Will continue to frequent your establishment when in Rehoboth????

Great first time at Ava's. Shared a thin crust Margherita 12” Pizza with mushrooms which was very good. Service was excellent. Pizza takes some time to come out (30 min or so) so be patient.

We have been here a few times. We keep going back because not many restaurants in Rehoboth Beach accept reservations, which is a must in the busy season. We usually order pizza, which is good ( I'm from NY so NO pizza in DE is comparable), this time we ordered chicken parm (small portion, not a great tasting sauce) and I ordered penne vodka which was watery with absolutely no flavor, even after drowning it with parm cheese. We will be sticking to pizza here. Service was excellent.

The food and service was outstanding but we had the unfortunate experience of sitting next to one of the worst behaved families we have ever seen. So much yelling and screaming by both parents and children. They should have been asked to leave and their food should have been wrapped and given to them outside. No one should be allowed to behave that way on a restaurant.

Loud and crowded at 8:30 p.m.: the hostess was practically shouting at us when we were finally seated for the reservation. Our server did a great job considering the crowd and workload. The chicken parm sandwich had little seasoning/ flavor; the caprese sandwich was very heavy on oil and mozzarella, minimal pesto and tomato. Glasses of wine were fresh, from a dozen mostly undistinguished options. This place is a pizzeria, but by no means is it a wine bar.

Love Ava's! The food is delicious, the waitstaff friendly and professional & they all work together as a team to provide great service, even when they're crazy busy which is most of the time. The atmosphere is fun and buzzy(it has a couple of nice bars where you can eat & watch a game). The meatballs are amazing and the pizza is always so delicious! They do a Detroit style which is kind of like a square French bread pizza? I wasn't so sure about it but now I'm a convert.

This was my first time at Ava's and I will definitely be going back every trip. The food was absolutely amazing! It was all so delicious. The meatball sliders are a definite must for everyone. They taste like they came out of a little old Italian ladies kitchen. They are so full with flavor. The bread is hard and crunchy yet soft at the same time. Absolutely delicious! The waitress we had was top notch. This place is a definite must visit for anyone in the area.

Ava's! Thank you so much! We came for my mom's bday dinner. She wanted more relaxed experience and Ava's fit just that. For drinks my mom had chef selection Cabernet and I had the Pinot Grigio both were very good! For appetizers we started with the meatballs and mozz plate, both were delicious! The wedge salad with blue cheese was my ultimate favorite. Haven't had a good one like that in a long time. Dinner we did two pies a Margarita and Mediterranean not neopolitan style. Thin crust and crunchy is the best. We had ourselves an evening we did end with dessert and the beignets with powdered sugar. There were three sauces to go with it Nutella, raspberry and cannoli. Everything was perfect! Thanks again!
