To say that staff at red white and basil is patient and kind is an understatement. Multiple individuals in our party were unruly and they handled them with more patience than should be expected. They food was amazing, our server was on point and the entire experience was great.
This is an excellent Italian Trattoria or casual restaurant with authentic food with well sourced ingredients. The homemade sausage is fantastic. The pasta sauces are great. On my first visit I had pumpkin ravioli with autumn vegetables. Very tasty. My husband had a butter and wine reduction with homemade tagliatelle and homemade sausage. We liked it so much that we returned a few nights later with another couple. My eggplant parmesan was spectacular. The service is fantastic, very friendly and receptive. Even though it was a busy Friday night, the staff went out of the way to make sure that we had what we needed. When there was a snafu with one of our orders, the owner graciously comped us for that item. We drank a red Montepulciano that was above and beyond delicious. I can't recommend this place enough. It's a gem in the middle of West Rehobeth. Well worth a visit, or several!
We were looking forward to eating here...unfortunately it was very disappointing. Will not be back!
When it opened it was our go to for dinner every Friday. Then all went downhill. Past 5 visits in 3 months were horrible. Salty pasta and the worst last night we wanted to share a lasagna and we got a frozen one twice! We don't know if it is the turnover of waiters or cooks but we aren't going back. We will stay with the consistency of TOI down the street.
It was very good!!! However we did wait for our drinks until after the appetizers and soups came out... the restaurant was very quiet, maybe six tables filled and for the drinks to take that slow was a little off putting
Our first time here. We were so pleasantly surprised. The staff could not do enough for us and they let us have a pleasant evening by ourselves too ! Very important to us. Let us have our time but don't ignore us! The food - oh my goodness! So good! If you go - try that homemade sausage! So good. Not overly spicy but I love red pepper flakes! I can make my food as spicy as I want. We will be back!!!
We were a party of 9 for dinner on a Tuesday night. Our server, Gillian, was personable and professional and guided us through the menu and explained the choices offered.
All nine of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and we look forward to visiting again!

They couldn't have been nicer and kinder to my disabled sister and our little rescue dog. Sat outside, and they immediately brought him water. Our server was absolutely wonderful. The food was terrific. My dish so much reminded me of my Italian grandmother's cooking.. We will be back.

Decided to go for Happy Hour. The bar area wasn't very crowded but we decided to sit at the bar. Jeff, the bartender, couldn't have been friendlier. We had the cheese board and the burratta & watermelon appetizers. Both were delicious and extremely well priced. Definitely recommend and looking forward to returning in the near future!

Wife salmon was supposed to have asparagus but had green beans. I had the sausage with pasta. Flavor was good but should have had broccoli rabe or broccolini but was void of both. The sausage was a single Link rather than being crumbled or diced. I've had better at this location

Had a great meal with some friends at this restaurant! This was our second time there and we loved the menu options and the quality of the food!
Have driven past here so many times and said we ought to try it. So happy we finally did. Lots of great choices, tasty preparations, and pasta clearly made by a human. Also creative cocktails. We'll check the wine list next time. Service was friendly, attentive, and well-timed. Bonus points for vegetarian arancini. Try not to sit near the phone, though.
This is a very honest review from a former restaurant manager. Have not been a patron since the holidays. New wine wall, fresh interior, elevated menu items. Save for a few hold overs from last season, fresh staff. Our server did have trouble with English and it was obvious he was learning the ropes. Patience, smiles and laughter helped a lot. Noise volume was fine till a large group came in headed by a loud KAREN and her two Karens in training. The dining items selected were flavorful and enjoyable. Baked Clams Oregenato had more clams than breading! Cod Piccata was sublime. Lasagna needed a touch of spice but was enjoyable. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for working refining the menu. Our only issue was the portions were small, almost like they started portion control. The meals were so good you wanted more...so we opted for the creamy cheesecake!
The food was outstanding, great wine list, excellent customer service, can't wait to come back.
One meal didn't have bacon in sauce and we were never told they had run out. Our other meals had shellfish that was overcooked.
