This was our first experience at Salt Air. Since this was our last night at Rehoboth Beach, we thought we would select a potential fine dining restaurant. We were not disappointed. The restaurant looks great inside. The customer service was very good. Our waiter Mike did a fantastic job. The food and presentation was very good. It was a very enjoyable evening, which included dessert.
Modernizing
We were looking forward to our dinner at Salt Air. We had experienced good dining there before and tonight was a disappointment. The server, who did not give his name was rushed, and seemed very disengaged in the upsale of everything from our cocktail to sides. Every course was an opportunity to upsale something, and he did not miss the opportunity. He tried to upscale the cocktail, with a smoked option for the old fashion, when we had already chosen the lesser priced smoked cocktail that was notably a flavor profile we preferred. He asked for our preference with sides, but neglected to mention that my friends subbing in mashed potatoes for the offered side and my truffle fries for the offered fries was an additional $5 each. To be clear, we would have paid for the change, but he did not mention the up charge which feels a bit slimy. He also tried to add an addition to shrimp to each of our meals, and there was a strong push even though we both politely turned him down. There meal was good. We both had the Smokey Cocktail which was very good, the smoke enhanced the flavor nicely and it had a rich feeling, The Caesar salad was very good. It was fresh and the dressing was flavorful. The grilled oysters were average. They were a good size, but lacked a full flavor. The crab cake was average. The mixed crab cake gave the cake a good flavor, but the binder was loose and not satisfying, Service was rushed, the entire meal was served and had us out the door in almost exactly 60 minutes. There was no time between courses or to enjoy our cocktails. The bill for the evening was $180 for two, which would be fine for a restaurant where we were not rushed and with more attentive service. There are better restaurants in Rehoboth for similar money. We will likely not return.

Attentive staff. Good service. We went there a little bit late so it wasn't crowded on a week night. I would strongly recommend the fish Stew chipino kind of stuff it was exceptional and good too

Dinner for two, out and about. Reservations on time. Snappy Grey Goose & tonics to start followed by an outstanding seafood stew for me & pan seared Halibut for my Partner. Both Delicious. With Creme Brule & espresso for dessert, the evening was complete. An overall wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended.

Charbroiled Oysters were a huge highlight here!!!!!!! Thank you Alex for taking care of me and my partner Friday. We came for our anniversary and even though we walked in an hour before closing, with no reservation, and had a full three course meal plus drinks.. you did it with a smile and with pleasure!!!! That made us so happy. Sad we didn't have a chance to visit before leaving but we will be back! AMAZING dessert cocktails! The Crispy Skin Rockfish was also very good! - HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON!

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. We always appreciate a vegan option on the menu and the crispy oyster mushrooms over roasted eggplant was amazing. Highly recommend Salt Air. Beautiful interior and wonderful service.

This was my second time back after a bad review. The Food was much better. When I pulled the fish apart the steam came out so it was warm from the Kitchen. I believe we had our Food in about 15 mins from the time it was ordered, it is in between off season and summer, great time to go not much traffic and no trouble getting a reservation. I will be coming back, glad to see it is coming back. Love the customer service, we arrived early for our reservation and they seated us early, told them we would wait but the sat us right away. Like the Autum decor.
