My party enjoyed chicken gyros and grilled kafte wrap. Both were delicious. Staff were warm and friendly, sit down restaurant was a quiet and refreshing break from the busy resort crowd. We'll be back!

Unfortunately it was one of our worst experiences. In addition to the overpriced, low quality and ill- served food, the workers are racist!Once we entered with kids they said oh, why this Arab people have too many kids! They talked in Turkish thinking we don't understand what they say.No apologies were offered but just embarrassed when confronted. The menu items are not the same as what's served. It's not Turkish food, it's gyros in different sauces and salads, and uncooked white rice. The kids menu says chicken and rice, but you get some white rice with hardly 0.5oz of burnt chicken pieces.Alexander's dish is a joke, it's a dish of gyros dipped in a tomato sauce can, not even cooked.Fries are literally dripping oil ?Try somewhere else, this place doesn't deserve paying any penny for it.

Food was just ok. Portion is small. The taste and portion do not match with price. We knew their menu and aware of the pricing become coming. We had certain expectation based on the price. For the price, you would expect a mind blowing taste of meditarranean food, or at least big, fulfilling portion.I was shocked when the food came. To be honest for the kind of food (meditarranean), there is nothing much complication or sophistication you can add to it. Even halal cart food in New York can sell this type of food on the street (which taste much better and portion much bigger). So no, the taste is just ok, nothing mind blowing and again, portion is really disappointing. We did confront about it, and (maybe) the store owner ended up giving us 15% discount (thank you). He did mention that the prime location near the Rehoboth Beach is what reflects the price. I do not want to know about their cost and pricing issue, but I think they can do better to find the right PRICING AND VALUE to make customers happy.I do not mind the price, but for what we got, it was too disappointing. Never coming back.

The food was authentic and amazing. The Turkish coffee was a treat. Our service was friendly and vigilant. This restaurant had the cleanest bathrooms and the decor and music was wonderful. We will return!

Semra's is a boardwalk oasis! The outside may look unassuming, but the well-prepared food is healthy and delicious, and the restaurant interior is spotlessly clean and restful. A few afternoons ago I especially enjoyed the generous Greek salad and a skewer of juicy, tender chicken kabob.

What a surprise to find such a delicious Mediterranean restaurant at the beach. The food was fabulous, and the people really genuine. The eggant salad was so yummy and the waitress said her mom made it! I also loved the beef/lamb patties. So good. The Turkish coffee was very good as well. I'm still raving! Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

It is clean, quiet place, very good customer service. But food doesn’t taste like Mediterranean or Turkish. The kabob doesn’t taste right, portion is small. Shawarma is basically fried chicken or meat with salad and sour cream wrapped in thick pitta. The taste is so plain: no grill taste in meats, no garlic sauce, no tahini. It tastes even more like some Mexican wrap but definitely not the Turkish As I noticed, they don’t use the shawarma grill for meats, although they have it , just frying meats and charging customers 17.95 for 1 shawarma. It is absurd for such quality.I lived for 17 years in Middle East and I definitely know what authentic cuisine is. The owners know too for sure. They probably just saving on coast of the food and making less effort by not using grills.Disappointing experience.

We came here for lunch just after the start of the off-season, with two young kids. Welcoming, homey atmosphere, friendly staff, and incredible food. We topped off lunch with delicious Turkish coffee. Will definitely return.

We ordered for take out: hummus w/ pita, lamb & beef gyro entree, and combo shawarma entree. Food was ok. Portions are small when compared to pricing, even boardwalk pricing. For example, we only received half a pita per entree. You would think for the gyro entree they would give you a full pita because that’s what you would of had if it was not a platter meal. There was a lot of rice, which I don’t normally mind, but for the price, i would of wished for more roasted veggies which were tasty. Even for the app, it was half a pita cut up (rolled into a bag) that wasn’t enough to use all of the hummus. Staff is nice and friendly.

I temper my expectations at the beach. Most restaurants are not that good, and the good ones are too expensive. Semra's is an exception. Good food at a fair price. We began with two appetizers. Hummus, and baba ganoush. Both were great starts to the meal. They came with fresh pita, and brought us more pita when we asked for it. One of our entrees was the lamb and beef gyro. It came with grilled veggies and rice. We also got the chicken kabob dinner. And lastly, moussaka. The moussaka wasn't this heavy casserole you sometimes see. It had all the elements, but looked more like a stew. The taste was spot on, and they didn't have to roll us out in a wheel barrel after the meal. Chalk this up as a pleasant surprise that gets my stamp of approval.
