We had an absolutely fantastic evening. It was my husband‘s 89th birthday and we were treated like Kings and Queens. We were greeted by a wonderful gentleman named Stefano who sad and immediately obtain Service for us. Our waiter was just who I cannot begin to say enough about. He was pleasantly social and extremely knowledgeable. He explained the beverages we chose in detail. He knew our food selections and made sure they were served hot.  we started with beverage selections my husband and I having the smooth pressed old-fashioned. It was something to definitely rave about. Once the process of pressing was explained to us I enjoyed it even more.. The food was outstanding. We had three tapas that I will say is the way to go. It gives you a small bite and allows you variety. My husband had what he calls the best shrimp and grits he ever had and we spent 20 years in South Carolina. I had the grilled octopus that was made to perfection with such tenderness on the inside. Our Daughter had scallops that once again we're excellent. We raved throughout dinner, the tastiness of the food With soft flavors that were not over season and delightfully presented. We ended our dinner with a big slice of carrot cake that was brought to the table with a candle for my husband. We finished off our beverages. I knew we had one of the best experiences in quite some time.

First visit since new owners. Loved it! Food is amazing with option of half portion - which is plenty. Spicy shrimp with fried Yuca was great. Short ribs are best at the beach. Great ambience with updated decor. Comfortable & beach like. Can't wait to go back

Husband and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our birthdays at Shorebreak Lodge Restaurant this weekend. The restaurant decor is sophisticated and the seating is super comfortable. The owners Ben and Diane go over and above to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Their craft cocktails are the best! Always wanted to try octopus and this dish did not disappoint. Everything from appetizers to dinner was so delicious. Everyone we have recommended the restaurant to has gone there for dinner and they always tell us how great their experience was. We believe this restaurant to be one of the best restaurants in Sussex County Delaware. We highly recommend.

All the food was excellently prepared and delicious. Best grilled octopus I've had outside of Italy. Service was excellent which made the whole experience that much better. Drinks expertly prepared and delicious. The only negative was the music on the speakers above us was a little loud and that made it difficult to hear conversation.
Have been to Shorebreak several times before and always had an excellent meal. THis time I had the Charred Octopus entree. This was by far the best I have eaten. Server was knowledgeable and they have had the same chef for 11 years so the quality is consistent. Wife had the lamb which she enjoyed. The interior design is pleasant. Will be returning.

We really enjoyed our first dinner there, food was excellent and staff was professional and knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed our meal so much we actually returned for another really wonderful meal the next night.

Great ambience, hit or miss with the food, staff was nice, however additional training needed with food runner. Unfinished food removed from table without asking if finished. I felt that Manager should have comped the item, but instead just asked to discount it. It was known that we were celebrating a 26 year wedding anniversary. I felt that management should have been more accomodating. This was disappointing. I don't think that I would return.
