Stingray is amazing everytime, bartenders are super kind and timely, the sushi bar is always fresh and the workers are kind. We love the sushi here !! Thank you guys for always being so awesome ! U got customers for life

After visiting for about a decade, I personally miss the sushi being the highlight. Now, most of the exciting, unique rolls are gone.
Somehow the “baked” flaming topping on the hot volcano roll was a room-temp glob thick with mayonnaise. The only fish explicitly listed as “fresh” is Urchin. Pretty disappointing next to the ocean. Blaring 1980s American pop music made conversation difficult and was overwhelming. I personally wouldn’t return for a sushi or raw-focused meal anymore. Noodle and rice dishes were pretty tasty, and service was fantastic.

Though we’ve enjoyed going to Stingray every summer for the last 6 years, this year was our last for a multitude of reasons. They completely changed the menu since last year, and while we were disappointed by that, we still went last weekend and were horribly disappointed. Should have been a red flag when we were able to make a reservation Labor Day weekend a few hours before and arrived and there wasn’t a line out the door like every other time we’ve been. We were told by the server that food was now served “japanese style” so would come out when it’s ready. That turned into the non-sushi entrees coming out well before the drinks (some of which were only sodas) AND appetizers - we probably waited 20 mins for drinks. As someone who’s been to Japan, that is not Japanese style. The restaurant was not busy - there were many open tables (never seen before). When the sushi did come out, the person who brought it seemed annoyed we had no room on our table for the sushi boat and said “just take it” and dumped into our hands. Not only was this rude, but could have been avoided had the restaurant timed the apps, mains, and drinks like any normal restaurant. Had they also timed them correctly, we would have gotten multiple rounds of drinks like years past. Instead we got our first round after the food and felt extremely rushed despite many open tables. Looking back at pictures from a year or two ago, the sushi portions are remarkably smaller and more expensive. Despite the obvious feeling of being rushed, they never once came back and cleared the table, leaving all of the appetizer and entree plates and sushi boat on the table until we left. Will
not be going back and don’t recommend to anyone else.

came in with 13 friends, rich was our server and he was great. super friendly chill and flexible and was really good on working with all of us. the food was great too, I had salmon and sushi and it was really good.

Celebrated a birthday with a loved one at Stingray this evening and it exceeded expectations! The ambiance, the food, overall service of this restaurant was 10/10 across the board. Our server, Rich, was very attentive and helped make our night even better by recommending the best dishes and drinks after we couldn’t decide what to get! Will definitely be coming back in the future!

I used to enjoy this place and I keep going back to see if I can like it again. I believe in 2024 they changed their menu. I haven’t had a delicious meal since. Even sushi is way better other places. I’ve made up my mind that after 5 times and I haven’t enjoyed it, I give up. The bartenders were awful the last two times too. A female was rude, ignored me, and then didn’t put in my food order till I reminded her 30 min later. 45 min later my food came. And, it was not busy. The woman sitting next to me at the bar got a wrong bill two times. It’s too bad cause it’s a cute and lovely place. They will remain popular though cause there are not many sushi places in town. And, it’s cute.

We miss the old menu and service. We ordered $400 of food for our table and instead of bringing it out at a reasonable cadence they slammed (actually) it all on the table at once and told us it was “Japanese tradition” to bring it out whenever it is ready 😂. Salmon entree was the first thing to come out, even before our drinks. Weird experience

We stopped in for the first recently with family and were pleasantly rewarded with some awesome sushi and noodle dishes (lo mein). Our server, Ryleigh, was the best! friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and attentive! Next time we're in Rehoboth Beach, we'll have to make a return visit.

First time visiting stingray… great spot!! Highly recommend trying out the special roll off the menu (spider roll) soft shell crab in the roll was awesome. Great service by my server Ryleigh! 10/10
