Had dinner tonight at Summer House in Rehoboth Beach for the first time and it was AWESOME!!! From entering the restaurant and being greeted by such friendly staff to our AMAZING waiter Daniel and our absolutely delicious dinner!! Calamari ,shrimp appetizer, wedge salad, Prime rib, Lobster tails, crème brûlée and hot fudge sundae….EVERYTHING was off the charts delicious !!! 10 PLUS STARS from start to finish !! LOVE LOVE this Restaurant and DANIEL was PHENOMENAL!!!

Always excellent. We dine here often and it's consistently good. Excellent crab cakes. The sashimi tuna is awesome. Steaks are good, but its the beach. Go for the seafood. My only complaint is that they've never had tap beer. Bottles only. Martini's are shaken and served at the table with the shaker left for you to refill your drink. 10/4/25 - Been coming to Summer House for many years, but recently sat down with friends for a meal. In my opinion the quality has fallen sharply. Couldn't get my steak Black and Blue because it apparently was cooked beforehand because (Sous Vide). Tried it. Not too good. It's like they keep a bunch of half cooked steaks so they can cut time corners. Wife had Prime Rib. Overdone and 50% fat. Veggies were nothing to write home about. Service was good, but the place was relatively empty. One glimmering hope were the Old Fashioneds. My compliments to the bartender. I'll be back for drinks and happy hour. Going to skip the dinners from now on.

We were excited to visit this restaurant because it looked so inviting from the outside and we'd walked past it several times during our stay in Rehoboth. The night that we dined, there was a special on prime rib which I took advantage of and my nephew ordered the steak frites. My prime rib came medium rare to rare. (I'd ordered medium rare). My nephew had ordered medium ----- and what he received was a steak that was barely cooked at all. There was a minimal amount of searing on the exterior and the steak was completely cold and red on the inside. We sent it back and the server was not pleased. His tone was as though he was doing us a favor, as though we were changing our order. He took the steak to the kitchen then returned fairly quickly with a supposedly medium steak which to our dismay was still completely red and rare. It was very disappointing, not just because it apparently couldn't be cooked correctly, but due to the attitude of the server who was belligerent and combative, the vibe definitely was that this was somehow our fault. We changed gears and my nephew ordered something else and made do with what he received. Of course, by that time I had finished my meal so we ended up sitting at a table together but eating two completely separate meals at two different times. At no time was a manager present to inquire about our order or to make any concessions or accommodations. We were charged full price for our meals and no apology or recognition from the server that the whole experience was so disappointing and uncomfortable and unenjoyable for us. I cannot recommend Summer House.

I was told I have to go to the Libation Room at the Summer House. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. It's portrayed as a Old Fashion Speak Easy. Our service was outstanding. The food was okay for me. I had the Beef Wellington. The mushroom duxell was perfect as was the pastry coating. I was disappointed in the cut of meat. I was expecting center cut tenderloin but I believe it was not. My wife had the mushroom ravioli which were excellent. Incidentally, we shared the Crème Brulee and it was outstanding.

Great place for a beach restaurant. Food service are great. Don’t need to say much as you will be able to tell popularity by the crowd.
We stopped in for lunch and ordered the special of the day- half- off burgers. I got mine with sharp cheddar, bacon, mushrooms, and onions, plus a side salad and the pumpkin crab and mushroom bisque. Everything was delicious, fresh, and flavorful.
The service was very friendly, though a little on the slow side (likely due to the busy lunch hour). We sat outside on the patio and really enjoyed the atmosphere.
A couple of small hiccups: we asked for a high chair and ended up having to find one ourselves, but the style they had was too tall for a regular table. Our toddler ended up staying in his stroller, which worked out fine. The bathroom does have a changing table, but it’s in a very tight stall above a toilet—similar to what you’d find in an airplane restroom.
Overall, the food was excellent, the staff welcoming, and we had a great time. We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu!
